Asbury Revival Event to Round-Up on National Collegiate Day of Prayer

Asbury University, a Christian liberal arts institution located in Wilmore, Kentucky, is to conclude its annual revival on National Collegiate Day of Prayer, which comes up on February 23, 2023. The two-week-long event brought together students, faculty, and staff for a time of spiritual renewal and reflection.

The revival, which is a long-standing tradition at Asbury, featured daily chapel services, small group discussions, and evening worship gatherings. This year’s revival took a spectacular turn as it brought thousands to seek God’s presence and allow Him to transform their lives.

The 2023 Asbury Revival which commenced on the 8th of February on the university campus, had spread to other universities in the states. As the revival’s concluding public worship service was held on Monday, 20th February, 2023, the university seats and parking spaces had exceeded its capacity, so provisions had to be made for streaming a limited portion of the service.

Asbury revival is to conclude and have its final revival event on National Collegiate Day of Prayer, which came up on Thursday.

The National Collegiate Day of Prayer is a nationwide event where students and faculty from colleges and universities across the country gather to pray for their campuses and the world. Asbury University has participated in the event for many years and considers it an essential part of their spiritual formation program.

Asbury University is a private, Christian institution founded in 1890. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of fields, including the arts, sciences, education, and theology. It is committed to providing students with an education that integrates faith and learning and prepares them to make a positive impact in the world.

WHAT DO YOU THINK?

- We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?

If you are not a Christian, and would like to become a Christian. Simply say - "LORD Jesus, thank you for forgiving me of my SINs, today I am deciding to follow you. Accept me into your family, in Jesus name I pray. Amen "
