Founder of Operation Mobilisation, Evang. George Verwer urged the people not to pray for total healing as he suffers from Sarcoma Cancer.
Evangelist George Verwer recently told supporters that he looks forward to heaven and that he asks only for grace as the daily journey will be rough. He said; “Please ask people not to pray for total healing as I really am looking forward to heaven,” he said. “Ask for prayer for grace for the rough journey that daily will be ahead.”
Welby is an Evangelist of the gospel of Christ and the founder of Operation Mobilisation (om), a Christian mission organisation. The Evangelist has also been an author of various books with Christian themes and over a million books he has written have been read worldwide. In recent times, the 83 years old George Verwer has been ministering in India, speaking various languages, including Tamil, Hindu, and Telugu.
Giving a statement on his sickness, the Evangelist said; “While in hospital, I had a powerful experience with God, in which all burdens for ministry and wrestling with global suffering have been lifted.
“God assured me that I’ve done my part and I need to leave the rest with others and Jesus. In many ways, I feel 85 is too long to live when so many of my friends have died but the Lord has that in His hands. It looks like I will be around a while, but the road to the door looks rough. That’s where I would appreciate prayer.”
He concluded by saying he will spend the rest of his time raising funds for his evangelism mission.
Operation mobilisation was founded by George Verwer to mobilise the younger generation to share the gospel of Christ. It started in Mexico and had spread its tentacles to Europe and India as of 1963. Currently, it has up to 6,800 workers in about 118 countries all over the world.
