Almost 4,000 individuals made a life-changing decision to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior during the annual SoCal Harvest Crusade led by renowned pastor Greg Laurie.
This evangelistic event, which attracted a staggering 32,000 attendees over two nights, was held at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Greg Laurie took to Twitter to express his awe at the remarkable turnout and the palpable spiritual atmosphere that enveloped the venue. He described the event as having an “electric, revival-like atmosphere” and proclaimed that he could sense the presence of God throughout. The response from the believers was overwhelming, with every seat filled, leading to thousands being turned away due to capacity constraints. The SoCal Harvest Crusade proved to be the most successful evangelistic event organized by Laurie and his team thus far.
Laurie shared the incredible numbers of conversions on social media, stating, “We always hope and pray for a 10 percent response when the invitation is given for people to come to Christ. Saturday and Sunday brought us closer to 11.5 percent.” On the first night, a remarkable 1,712 individuals responded to the Gospel out of the 16,000 in attendance. The following night, with a slightly larger crowd of 16,500, an even greater number of 2,023 individuals made the decision to follow Christ. In total, over the course of the two nights, a staggering 3,735 people responded to the invitation to accept Jesus into their lives.
What can I say about this year’s Harvest Crusade except, WOW!

The worship sessions were led by acclaimed Christian music artists Michael W. Smith, Chris Tomlin, Phil Wickham, and Taya Gaukrodger. Their inspiring performances added to the already charged atmosphere, creating a sense of unity and spiritual fervor among the attendees. Greg Laurie, the main speaker for the event, delivered powerful messages that resonated with the hearts of those present.
Looking ahead, Harvest Christian Fellowship, the church pastored by Greg Laurie, has planned a church-wide baptism at Pirates Cove in Corona Del Mar, California. This picturesque beach holds significant historical significance as it witnessed the baptisms of numerous believers during the Jesus Revolution movement in the 1960s and early 1970s. The upcoming baptism serves as a symbolic continuation of that movement and reflects the enduring impact of the Gospel in transforming lives.
The SoCal Harvest Crusade stands as a testament to the profound impact that evangelistic events can have on individuals seeking spiritual fulfillment. It serves as an example of the power of collective worship and the influence of a dedicated pastor like Greg Laurie, whose passion for spreading the message of Christ resonates with thousands of people.
The event’s success not only celebrates the number of conversions but also highlights the importance of fostering a supportive community where individuals can find hope, encouragement, and a personal connection with God.
