Lauren Daigle Named Billboard’s Christian Artist of the Year

In an exciting announcement across the Christian music scene, Lauren Daigle has been honored as Billboard’s Christian Artist of the Year.

The renowned singer-songwriter, celebrated for her chart-topping single ‘You Say,’ has also clinched the title of Top Female Christian Artist of the Year.

Breaking the silence since her last release in 2018, Daigle unveiled new music in May, marking a significant milestone in her career. Reflecting on the year, she expressed gratitude for the fresh experiences and connections she encountered.

Daigle shared her enthusiasm with Billboard, stating, “New creative collaborators, a new producer, new writers, and most of all, new friends. Our fans on the road have been so incredible, and we can feel their love and their energy every single night, and for me, that connection [to our music] is inspiring. I am so unbelievably grateful to them, to be able to do what I love and look forward to so much more in ’24.”

The 32-year-old artist’s self-titled album, released this year, has made an impressive mark by securing the No. 7 position on Billboard’s Top Christian Albums year-end ranking. Expressing her deep gratitude, Daigle conveyed her thanks to God in a heartfelt video message, acknowledging the divine opportunity to “put music out that reaches the souls of man.”

In another noteworthy accolade, Brandon Lake has received the title of Billboard’s Top Christian Artist in the male category, marking his debut in this prestigious recognition. This acknowledgment further cements Lake’s growing influence and impact within the Christian music industry.

Adding to the celebration, Elevation Worship has been awarded Billboard’s Top Christian Artists – Duo/Group, highlighting their collective contribution to the genre. Phil Wickham, with his powerful single ‘This Is,’ has secured the top position on the year-end Top Christian Airplay Songs list, affirming the song’s popularity and resonance among listeners.

As the year draws to a close, these awards stand as a testament to the exceptional talent and dedication within the Christian music community. Lauren Daigle, with her dual victories as Christian Artist of the Year and Top Female Christian Artist, continues to captivate audiences with her soul-stirring music. The acknowledgment of Brandon Lake, Elevation Worship, and Phil Wickham in their respective categories further underscores the diversity and vibrancy of the Christian music landscape.

In her video message, Lauren Daigle’s humility and gratitude shine through as she recognizes the divine purpose behind her music. The connection she feels with her fans becomes a source of inspiration, emphasizing the profound impact of music on the human soul.

Looking ahead to the coming year, Lauren Daigle expresses anticipation for more creative endeavors and heartfelt performances. - We have all sinned and deserve God's judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?

If you are not a Christian, and would like to become a Christian. Simply say - "LORD Jesus, thank you for forgiving me of my SINs, today I am deciding to follow you. Accept me into your family, in Jesus name I pray. Amen "
