Christian singer and songwriter Lauren Daigle has announced that she will be releasing a new album after a long five-year hiatus. Part one of the self-titled new album is set to be released on May 12, 2023.
A single titled, “Thank God I Do”, which is part of the upcoming album was released on March 8.
“This is my most precious project,” says Daigle. “It’s got fun moments, solemn moments, extrovert moments, and introvert moments. And I’m just thrilled about taking my songwriting further on this record than anything I’ve done previously.”
Fans of the artist have been eagerly anticipating her return to the music scene, and the news of the upcoming album has generated a lot of excitement. Lauren Daigle’s last album, “Look Up Child,” was released in 2018 and was met with critical acclaim, earning her two Grammy Awards.
The new album is expected to feature a number of collaborations with other artists, although Daigle has remained tight-lipped about the details. Fans are already speculating about who might be featured on the album, with some suggesting that it could include collaborations with well-known Christian artists like TobyMac, Chris Tomlin, or Hillsong Worship.
Diagle signed up with Atlantic Records last month after years of working with Centricity Music label. The first part of her album is set to be released on 12 May with 10 songs, while the second part is to be released later during the year.
The Christian singer and songwriter is also well-vested in giving as she pioneers a non-profit project called “The PriceFund” where she helps raise and donate funds to children in need. Last year, her project raised $700,000.
