In commemoration of Pastor E. A. Adeboye’s 81st birthday, a faith-based movie titled “Enoch” was released on Thursday, March 2.
The eminent African gospel film ministry, The Mount Zion Film, released a powerful movie showing the life story of the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye. “Enoch” is a production of the Solid Rock Foundation and the Mount Zion Film Production.
Pastor E. A. Adeboye is a Nigerian pastor who was born on March 2 1942 in Ifewara, near Ife, in the then Southern region, of British Nigeria. He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and was an interpreter before he was ordained as a pastor in the church. The megachurch pastor became general overseer in 1981, when he worked part time before giving up his job to become a full-time pastor.
The Redeemed Christian Church of God has branches in about 198 nations as at 2017, with more than 14 million worshippers in Nigeria alone. Pastor Adeboye is considered a preacher of the “prosperity gospel”.
The 81 years old general overseer has the aim of planting a church within five minutes walking distance in developing countries and five minutes driving distance in developed countries. He is married with four children.
The movie concept was brought about by Kemi Sodeinde who happens to also be the executive producer of the movie. “Enoch” was directed and written by Damilola Mike Bamiloye and produced by John Oguntuase.
Damilola Mike Bamiloye, the director of the movie, had taken to his official Twitter handle on Thursday where he announced the release of the new movie. In his caption, he said,
