In an episode of Ainsley’s Bible Study, three Christian women shared how accepting the Faith had helped them during challenging years in college.
According to Fox Nation, a former student of Mount Holyoke, Annabella Rockwell, revealed that she was raised in a Christian home but after she got into a gender-diverse college, she noticed she was accepting more of party culture and distancing from family. “There was no room for God,” she said to Fox Nation, “…In this void of really not believing anymore is when I became susceptible to all these very progressive ideas and wokeism because as God was missing from my heart, I needed to fill that void with something.”
However, her Christian mother kept on soliciting for her in prayers and during the Pandemic which was post-college, she got the urge to return to church. She revealed that the urge gave her peace, knowing fully well that her person was rooted in God and not other outside gods.
“The moment I decided to accept Jesus…it’s been on a daily basis… a little bit more peace, a little every day, and a little bit more grace, and also, this desire to get to know Jesus and to get to know God and the Bible,” she expressed

A certain Mount Holyoke student had also shared how finding the Christian Faith had helped her heal from sexual abuse, and even as far as helping her forgive her abuser. She recounted that she attended a church program and a song rendition made her understand the gospel of Christ’s healing. “…God touched my heart and I just couldn’t forget that,” she shared, “In that moment, I realized just how deeply I needed Jesus to save me because I had tried therapy, I tried so many things up until then to help me heal and move on and forgive, but it was all superficial. I couldn’t truly move on from it.” The student had revealed that she forgave the abuser who also later gave his life to Christ.
“That was the most joyous moment I’ve ever had in my life at that point,” she said, touching on the importance of Christ’s teaching. “I felt the Holy Spirit. I was just crying out for joy, crying out for the Lord. I was so happy and not only the relief that…he also found God too, but that he’s also forgiven by Jesus…that God found him as well and that he’s been healed…God is working.”
Another woman, Ambar Miniel Sanchez, shared how she had the courage to talk about her Christian despite having been discouraged. Sanchez had attended Miami Dede College where she founded a Christian club. In her graduation speech, she was advised by a professor who reviewed her essay to scrap out the name “Jesus”. “Every time I gave him a draft, he would give it back and…scratch out the name Jesus,” she told Fox Nation.
However, she had gone against all odds and publicly declared her gratitude to God. “When I gave my speech and I was saying, ‘Thank you, Jesus,’ the whole crowd started clapping, and I was so shocked,” she recalled.
In a world where college can often be a stressful and challenging experience, it is encouraging to see how faith in Jesus Christ can provide a source of strength and comfort to those who need it most.
