Christian Post Report – The long-awaited episode to the “Arkham” video game series of “Batman” has been delayed yet again. The game was originally scheduled for release on June 2, but recently, its developer Rocksteady Studios announced that the game will be out several weeks after, on June 23. This is the second delay for the game – the first one was when they moved the release from October 2014 to June 2, 2015.

According to a report in PC Gamer, the reason being cited by the developer is “last-minute quality assurance.”

“We’re a developer that hates to make any compromises, so we are very sorry to say this means it’s going to be just a little bit longer until you can play the epic conclusion to the Arkham trilogy,” the press release states.

As they made the announcement, Rocksteady also shared a seven-minute gameplay preview video for the game. The video showed some of the new gameplay features such as the character of Oracle, who is also Police Commissioner’s Gordon’s daughter, Barbara, who helps Batman in his missions. Aside from the usual weapons and tools available to Batman, he also has a driveable and playable Batmobile, which he can summon to wherever he is. According to a Wikipedia entry, the player can now use gliding with the cape for “faster, longer sustained flights, steeper dives and higher climbs.”

Batman is once again voiced by Kevin Conroy. The Dark Knight battles Scarecrow, Penguin, Two-Face, Harley Quinn, Riddler, Firefly and Poison Ivy. A new villain called Arkham Knight will be introduced in the game. He is described as “a militarized version of Batman.”

The game will be released for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and Microsoft Windows. In another report in VG 24/7, one shop said that the game’s PC version will only be released digitally and no longer through physical discs. This report however is yet to be confirmed with the game’s publishers.
