Christian Post Report – Recent Android 5.0 Lollipop news indicated that U.S. mobile carrier Sprint is now in the process of rolling out the latest mobile operating system from Google for both the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge.

The software release follows the upgrade which came earlier for the current phablet flagship, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Owners of the two South Korean tech handsets can get the Lollipop update Over-The-Air, which means they should be receiving the notification if it is already available for download and instalment. It can take a few days before it arrives to devices.

For those opting to do the update manually, they can head over to their phone’s About Phone section and then hit the Check for Updates button.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop OS version for the Galaxy Note 3 and the Note Edge features the following general enhancements:

Material Design which brings forth fluid animations and vivid coloured themes

A much-improved lockscreen features with Material Design-inspired notifications

Enhanced TouchWiz user interface, also inspired from Google’s Material Design

Queries, texting, calling, and Google map directions can now be done via the “OK Google” voice command

Floating action button features for more ease of access to apps

Battery Saver features

Better security with the Android Smart Lock

Enhanced Wi-Fi network connectivity

Right after downloading and installing the new Google Android Lollipop firmware, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 from Sprint will now run on build number N900PVPUEOC5 while the Galaxy Note Edge, also from the said carrier, is N915PVPU0AOC8.
