Christian Post Report – Los Angeles Lakers Guard Wayne Ellington

The Lakers are coming off two of its worst seasons in franchise history. Now that Los Angeles will be having its final games of the season, fans are wondering where this team is heading in the 2015-16 NBA season.

Rising Stars

The Lakers’ downfall had a positive outcome this season, and that is the emergence of a few young stars. Jordan Clarkson has been doing pretty well in his rookie year, while Ed Davis, whom Los Angeles picked up from Memphis earlier this season, is considered as a good two-way player that can become an anchor on the defensive end.

Free-Agent Prospect

The Lakers definitely have the money to spare, but the problem is that there aren’t a lot of good free agents this coming off-season. In an ESPN report, Rajon Rondo could be a good choice, though his position at the starting PG would push Clarkson into the two-guard spot.

Contracts to Unload

Most likely, Los Angeles will unload the contracts of Carlos Boozer and Jeremy Lin in order to get younger and more promising players. While Lin can still be considered a promising player, his type of game is not compatible with what coach Scott Brooks want to accomplish for this team.

Time for Randle

After being sidelined for the season after a leg injury, Julius Randle will finally be able to show what he can do on the court next season.

Kobe Bryant’s (Final) Return

The Black Mamba will be returning from injury entering the 2015-16 season, and as it’s his final season in his current contract, he will definitely do everything to carry this team back to the playoffs. In a report by ESPN, Lakers’ boss Mike Kupchak said that next season would probably be Bryant’s last.
