Christian Post Report – YouTube Screengrab: A&E’s original TV series ‘Bates Motel’
Things are definitely getting more interesting as the third season of the hit psychological horror TV drama series “Bates Motel” continues this week with a brand new episode titled “The Last Supper.”
The last episode of the show titled “Norma Louise,” gave fans the idea that there is really something going on between Dylan (Max Theriot) and Emma (Olivia Cooke) as they were seen getting closer like a couple.
Series creators Carlton Cuse and Kerry Ehrin weren’t able to confirm a romantic relationship between the two. Cuse, however, dropped some major hints pointing towards the likelihood of a “Dylemma”.
“Dylemma… that’s the best shipper term I’ve ever heard. That’s fantastic. The shipper term is worth having the characters have a relationship in and of itself. Dylemma fans out there, keep watching,” Cuse told Yahoo! TV News.
Ehrin, meanwhile, chimed in with the idea of the two ending up together.
Ehrin likens the issue to an “island” floating around a bigger “mainland.”
“She [Emma] and Dylan are islands that have floated around the Norma (Vera Farmiga)/Norman (Highmore) mainland without being attached to it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter. “[And] the fact that these two floating islands bump into each other [in the recent episode] is really interesting and it opens a new connection between them.”
As for this week’s showing, the official synopsis of the episode indicates that Norma (Vera Farmiga) will have to face a “big mess” when she arrives back at home after she went out of town.
Norman (Freddie Highmore), on the other hand, is recognizing his dwindling mental health and it is said that he will now conform to the idea of getting some proper professional help.
“Bates Motel” Season 3 airs Monday on A&E Network.
