Christian youth charity makes focus ‘lives changed by Jesus’

In a statement they said their aim is: “to take Good News relevantly to every young person in Britain by demonstrating the love of God, declaring who Jesus is, encouraging a decision to follow Him and discipling young people to live their lives to the full.”

They have carried out several surveys and listened to young people about how to reach a generation that don’t automatically go to church.

At their annual conference in Manchester they launched a new logo and brand.

 

National Director of Youth for Christ, Neil O’Boyle, told Premier: “We’ve really nailed it down to the fact that God’s heart beats for young people and we’re about seeing young people’s lives changed by Jesus.”

When asked how we can bring Christianity to young people in 2018 he said: “We’re really exploring what it means to reach out to a digital generation and take the good news in an effective way but find a way to bring them into relational contact with the local church.”

O’Boyle added: “We’re really looking forward, we’re looking at how the landscape is changing in this country when it comes to mission and how we need to adapt to that and so we’re looking at making significant changes when it comes to our ministry and how we go about reaching young people effectively.”
