Topic: Liberty To Sin? [Teens’ Open Heavens Saturday 20th, January 2018]
Memorise: For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. – Galatians 5-13
Read: Galatians 5:13-15
13 For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.
14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.
Bible In One Year: Genesis 46-48, Matthew 14:22-36
MESSAGE:
Operating in the supernatural will naturally attract certain challenges. You cannot please God and Satan at the same time. Anytime you please God you displease the devil. It is impossible for you to operate in the supernatural without attracting the anger or fury of the kingdom of darkness. The more you operate in the supernatural, the greater the attack from your enemy.
When you begin to operate in the supernatural, try and guard against these three things: indiscipline, pride and immorality. If you study the life of Samson, you will realize that without discipline, you cannot go far in the supernatural. It is also very important that you run away from pride. Never get to the point where no one can correct you. Lastly, watch against immorality. Immorality is the fastest way to destroy your destiny. Avoid anyone who tries to make you commit immorality in any form, and avoid friends who do not see anything wrong with immorality. May Satan not get you in Jesus’ name.
Key Point: Indiscipline, pride and immorality should be avoided like plagues.
Hymn 7:
1. I am Thine O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.
3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!
4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.
