First Lady of the United States Melania Trump announced Tuesday afternoon on Twitter that Stephanie Grisham will be replacing Sarah Sanders as the White House Press Secretary.
“I am pleased to announce @StephGrisham45 will be the next @PressSec & Comms Director! She has been with us since 2015 – @potus & I can think of no better person to serve the Administration & our country,” Mrs. Trump wrote on Twitter.
“Excited to have Stephanie working for both sides of the @WhiteHouse. #BeBest,” she added.

Current White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders applauded the decision on Twitter noting that Grisham would do a “phenomenal job.”
Sanders – who announced earlier this month that she would be leaving the White House at the end of June – wrote, “@StephGrisham45 will be an incredible asset to the President and the country. I’m sad to leave the WH, but so happy our team will be in such great hands.”
