Hillsong singer gives update on worship leader Chelsea Taylor’s brain aneurysm

She was taken to an intensive care unit after an 8am service at the Hills campus site in Sydney on 18th August. where they discovered she had a brain aneurysm, a bulge in a blood vessel that can cause sudden agonising headaches, a stiff neck, sickness and pain when looking at light.

Chelsea Taylor has had neck and back pain, making moving around at all difficult and has also had surgery on her brain.

 

 

Emma Fellers, a friend who is also part of the Hillsong Australia worship team posted on Instagram on Sunday: “It’s been a challenging weekend and the recovery journey takes time. Chelsea had to have another main line inserted, but tubes and drainage got removed! Three weeks since the aneurysm – It’s tiring and she just wants to go home… Chelsea has been able to be more active again, like doing trips to the bathroom, which is great!

“The docs have also finished all the strong medications, so it looks like she may go to High Dependancy Unit soon! She is still continuing with antibiotics but hopefully not for too much longer. Please keep Chelsea & her family in your prayers as we believe for a full recovery and strength & grace for the moment!”
