A Texas megachurch pastor who is an outspoken supporter of President Trump has penned an editorial explaining why he is an ally of the current administration.
Jack Graham, pastor of Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, is one of Trump’s more vocal supporters, often tweeting about him and sometimes joining others pastors at White House appearances.
“I often get asked why I, an evangelical pastor, so prominently and enthusiastically support President Donald Trump,” Graham wrote in a Dallas Morning News commentary. “There are many reasons, but here’s one of them that’s particularly key: President Trump is the most pro-life president in U.S. history.
“President Trump’s unapologetic commitment to protect the sanctity of human life is particularly relevant given that this weekend he became the first president ever to speak at the annual March for Life in Washington.”
Trump’s pro-life position “isn’t a newfound passion for him,” Graham asserted.
“Over the past three and a half years, President Trump has given ample evidence of his commitment to fight for the life of the unborn. In fact, he has, time and again, exceeded our expectations,” Graham wrote. “For example, in his first year in office, the president reinstated the Mexico City policy.
