Freed Americans Thank God and President Trump for Deliverance from North Korea

Kim Hak-song, Tony Kim, and Kim Dong-chul — the three American citizens freed from imprisonment in North Korea under a deal forged by the Trump Administration — have released a statement expressing their gratitude to God and the American President. 

Tony Kim’s family released the following statement:

We are very grateful for the release of our husband and father, Tony Kim, and the other two American detainees. We want to thank all of those who have worked toward and contributed to his return home. We also want to thank the President for engaging directly with North Korea. Mostly, we thank God for Tony’s safe return.

We appreciate all of the support and prayers of friends and even strangers during this challenging year. You are dear to our hearts. We ask that you continue to pray for the people of North Korea and for the release of all who are still being held. Thank you.

The families of the three freed Americans told the media: “We would like to express our deep appreciation to the United States government, President Trump, Secretary Pompeo and the people of the United States for bringing us home. We thank God and all our families and friends who prayed for us and for our return.”

The three Americans will arrive in Alaska at around 2 AM. President Trump will meet them there.
