Topic: Get Ready For Cyrus Anointing [TREM 10 October 2018 Daily Devotional]
“That saith of Cyrus, he is my shepherd, and shall perform all my pleasure: even saying to Jerusalem, Thou shalt be built; and to the temple, Thy foundation shall be laid.” Isaiah 44:28
You see God knows how to use your enemies to bless you. This is visible throughout the scriptures. Cyrus was a heathen king, yet God spoke to him. He went to Cyrus and said, I know you don’t like them but I have raised you to bless them. In other words, Cyrus you don’t have a choice but to bless them. There is an assignment I want you to do in the house of that redeemed family of God. You may not like them, but you will do it because the hearts of kings are in my hands. That’s not all. Cyrus, you shall perform all my pleasure.
Your God knows how to take your situation and turn it around. There is nothing like fatal failure for you. In the book of Isaiah 49:7 it is written: “Thus saith the LORD, the Redeemer of Israel, and his Holy One, to him whom man despiseth, to him whom the nation abhorreth, to a servant of rulers, Kings shall see and arise, princes also shall worship, because of the LORD is faithful, and the Holy One of Israel, and he shall choose thee.”
He says, even though you are despised and disregarded, you will be celebrated.
The bible says “Shall the prey be taken from the mighty, or the lawful captive delivered?” He committed the offense. Yes, he messed up. He is the reason for his bad condition and the reason why doors are shut against him. But God says, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with thee, and I will save thy children. The Cyrus anointing is not about what you did, but about God saving you. We are in the days of new things. Therefore, God will do new things in your life. Expect it! Hallelujah!
