Get free stuff through the letterbox
It’s a badly kept secret that free stuff is given away all over the web.
There’s a huge range of beauty products delivered straight to homes around the UK; from free perfume samples, free cosmetics, toiletries and hair products. What a great chance to try out new or existing brands without leaving the house – or spending a penny.
Why do beauty brands give away free stuff?
Companies want potential consumers to try their products and give feedback in return – this means they won’t have to pay a middleman to do the research for them. The movement of companies to social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter means that they can speak directly to their consumers, listen to their concerns, and reach out to potential new customers at the same time.
So how do you get free beauty products?
I signed up to Magic Freebies who promised 8 new freebies every day: free stuff, free samples and competitions. Sure enough, the next day I received an e-mail full of giveaways, restaurant vouchers, offers and their weekly competition (which was to win a £50 Boots voucher).
Having picked up the freebies I was interested in (including a Clarins lip gloss, shampoo sample and a handy stopwatch) I decided to explore the website.

As well as free beauty products, the website has all manner of categories to explore. From food & drink to baby and pet stuff, there’s a freebie for every member of the family.
It’s not just free samples either – the Magic Freebies website features money-saving and money-making guides and you can donate to causes for free. When I have a bit of time I plan to check out the Restaurant Vouchers and the Cheap Days Out and plan a nice day with the family without having to shell out!
It’s easy to see why Magic Freebies is so popular.
Currently the Magic Freebies Facebook group has nearly 270,000 likes – every day they post up funny pictures and alert you to the freebies of the day, so you can stay in the loop even without checking the email. The members of the group like to share photos of their freebie haul which is great to see.
