Christian Post Report – Miami Heat star forward Chris Bosh has been released from the hospital following initial treatment for blood clots on his lungs.

The news took the NBA by surprise after the East All-Star was revealed to miss out on the rest of the season with a potentially life-threatening condition.

Bosh initially complained of pain on his back and side areas. He was finally diagnosed after suffering from severe pain during a vacation trip with teammate Dwyane Wade in Haiti.

His last game was in the NBA All-Star Weekend in New York.

Fans and players quickly spoke of their well-wishes for the star, notably Brooklyn Nets forward Mirza Teletovic who also suffered the same illness. His message to Bosh was not to worry because things will be better.

As a result of his condition, the 30-year-old was sent to a South Florida hospital to begin his treatment.

The road back to recovery is still long, and Bosh will still be closely monitored as he tries to get his health back but the initial news is promising.

Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said “he’s at home. He’s starting to feel a little better.”

When asked whether the former Toronto Raptors star will still be able to play, Spoelstra didn’t say specifically.

“We’ll get there when we get to that point,” Spoelstra said. “Right now, the big thing is he’s at home and we’ll take the next step when we get there.”

Having played 44 games this season, Bosh has averaged 21.1 points per game, while shooting 46 percent from the field. He has also averaged seven rebounds per contest while playing just over 35 minutes each night.

He is a 10-time NBA All-Star, and is also a two-time NBA champion in 2012 and 2013 as a part of the “Big Three” era in Miami.
