Christian Post Report – This week on the hit musical comedy-drama TV series “Glee,” sneak peek reveals some behind-the-scenes featuring one cast member performing his original song created for the show.
Spoiler reports from Enstarz.com pointed out Darren Criss, who plays Blaine Anderson on the show, will be singing a song he originally wrote titled “Rise” for the next Glee episode. The media outlet revealed that Criss was asked “a lot over the years” if he could compose a number exclusively for the series.
“Over the past couple of years people have asked me, ‘Are you ever going to have one of your songs on the show?’ So in the final season it finally came up and it’s an honor that they let me do this,” the actor said.
As detailed, “Rise” will be performed in honor of the burnt down Dalton Academy which in the lyrics is described that it will “rise from the ashes like a phoenix.”
In related casting news, TV Line dished some information of who’s coming to visit Glee on its final season.
“I’m told that Girls’ Andrew Rannells, who also starred in Ryan Murphy’s short-lived NBC sitcom The New Normal, is making an appearance in the series finale next month. He will be connected to Rachel’s storyline and he won’t be showing up in present-day Lima,” a tipster revealed.
Meanwhile, tonight’s segment titled “The Rise and Fall of Sue Sylvester” will see Whoopi Goldberg from “The View” as guest star.
A synopsis was provided by The Futon Critic where it reads:
“Dalton Academy burns to the ground, and the Warblers must combine with the New Directions to form a super group. Meanwhile, Rachel begs Carmen Tibideaux (guest star Whoopi Goldberg) to let her return to NYADA.”
“Glee” Season 6 Episode 11 airs this Friday, Mar. 6 at 9 p.m. on FOX.
