Christian Post Report – Paramount has pushed back the release of “Mission: Impossible 5” from Christmas 2014 to July 2015, and the studio has kept mum about the film’s details. Still, fans are happy that Tom Cruise will be slipping back into the role of agent Ethan Hunt for the fifth time, and director Christopher McQuarrie recently took to Twitter over the weekend to answer a few questions about the film.

McQuarrie confirmed that we’ll start to see official materials from the movie soon, possibly even this week. A trailer, poster, and title reveal will be on its way.

The director also said that both Paula Patton and Maggie Q. were asked to join the cast, but both were unavailable this time. Patton was in 2011’s “Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol” while Maggie Q. was in “Mission Impossible III” which premiered in 2006.

Simon Pegg’s Benji will have an extended role in the film as McQuarrie tweeted that “Benji gets his hands dirty” this time around. He also confirmed that fans can expect to see more of Ving Rhames in the upcoming film.

When asked whether he was aiming for a darker tone than “Ghost Protocol” or will it have the same sense of humor as the last “Mission: Impossible” film, McQuarrie wrote, “We were aiming for ‘Ghost Protocol’ but Mission has a life of its own and goes where it wants.”

The director revealed that one of the biggest challenges of the movie has been time.

“We’re always in a hurry. Now we’re in a big [expletive] hurry,” he said.

“Mission: Impossible 5” is slated to premiere on July 31.
