The Duke Blue Devils will face off against the San Diego State Aztecs on Sunday with the final places in this year’s NCAA March Madness competition Sweet 16 Round up for grabs. Duke will be big favorites to win this one; the No. 1 seeded team will be confident after an impressive season and will look to start fast at the Time Warner Cable Arena in Charlotte, North Carolina to ensure they squash out any thoughts the Aztecs have of pulling off an upset. The game is scheduled to start at 2.40 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CBS network, or online through free live stream (details below).
Duke enter this year’s NCAA 2015 tournament as No. 1 seeds, and so far have lived up to expectations, claiming a comfortable win in their opening game with a 29 point victory over Robert Morris. That in fact was their first win in March Madness since 2011.
The Blue Devils will be hoping that senior guard Quinn Cook can remain in top form; he scored 22 points in their last round, shooting 6 of 10 from three pointer positions. He is averaging 15.9 points per game, as well as 3.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.1 steals per game.
These two teams have only met once before, back in 2001, and in that instance the Blue Devils came out on top. Duke are also by far the more experienced team when it comes to NCAA tournament gameplay. They have played 133 games, winning 99 and losing just 34, where as San Diego State have only ever played 15 games, claiming 5 wins and suffering 10 losses.
