Christian Post Report – Kate Middleton, who has a month to go before she gives birth to her second child, attended three engagements in one day on Friday, March 27 in South East London. This marks the Duchess of Cambridge’s final public appearances before she goes on maternity leave.
The Duchess and her husband Prince William took a tour of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, a place for community learning and social research. The community center was named after Lawrence, who was killed in a racially motivated attack while waiting for a bus in London in April 1993.
For the event, the 33-year old royal donned a hot pink Mulberry coat and accessorized with black pumps. The Prince donned a navy, single breasted suit which he teamed with a purple tie.
Baroness Doreen Lawrence of Clarendon accompanied their Royal Highnesses during the tour. The Duke and Duchess then met with SLIK (Stephen Lawrence Instills Knowledge) Magazine editors in the PC room who are working on The Write Way project, a digital magazine and website project which offers young people aged 16 to 26 the opportunity to create, design, and manage a digital magazine and interactive website.
Before leaving, the couple signed the visitors’ book and the Duchess was given a bouquet of flowers.
Next, the royals visited XLP, “The Excel Project”, a Christian charity which works with disadvantaged young people that has an emphasis on being faith-based, but not faith-biased. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met key volunteers and supporters of the organization as well as young people from each of the boroughs XLP supports. They also visited an XLP community bus and the XLP mobile recording studio on the Hazel Grove Estate.
Last week, the Duchess revealed at another event that her second child will arrive by “mid-to-end” of April.
