‘If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late’: Drake’s New Album Set for Physical Release April 21

The Canadian rapper confirms the physical release of his mixtape, “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” which debuted digitally last Feb. 12, will be on April 21.

During the set’s debut week, it sold 495,000 copies making Drake the first and only rapper to clinch the no. 1 spot on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart. Since its release, the mixtape sold more than 774,000 copies. The success of the mixtape continues to surprise as Spotify streams for the album reached over 140 million times, with “Jungle” raking 3.2 million YouTube views since Feb. 12.

Drake also announced that he will release an official fourth album, Views From The 6 this year. Release date is rumored to be during the rapper’s annual OVO Festival in Toronto in August 2 and 3. Although unclear on the meaning of “6,” speculations point out to his Toronto hometown that uses the particular area code. Drake also revealed that he will have a U.S. Tour pitting him against fellow rapper Lil Wayne.

“If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late” continues to dominate with the 17 songs from the album charting on the Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The artist now has 21 songs, including the four songs that feature him, in the list.
