Christian Post Report – Xiaomi rose to popularity in the international mobile market due to its extremely cheap smartphones that boast quality design and specs.
It was the Mi3 that has placed the Chinese manufacturer on the map, and until now the Android-powered smartphone is still selling well in countries where it is readily available.
However, Xiaomi has been taking a new route recently – one that focuses on quality and high-end specifications. The Mi Note Pro and Mi Note are testaments to that direction.
Fortunately, the China-based manufacturer is not abandoning its midrange lineup, including the Redmis that have been selling like pancakes in flash sales across the Southeast Asian region.
In a new report by GSM Arena, it seems Xiaomi is preparing the upcoming Redmi Note 2.
A successor of the successful Redmi Note launched last year, the Redmi Note 2 boasts improved specs, better design, and probably a slightly higher price tag.
In the report, the Xiaomi handset dubbed as H3Y boasts a Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution screen. The leak came from @upleaks, which have been doing well in leaking upcoming smartphones to the Web.
Other alleged specs include a MediaTek MT6795 chipset and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box, skinned by the manufacturer’s MIUI 6.
A Samsung-manufactured 13MP shooter banners the camera department, while there is a 5MP sensor in front to handle selfies.
The device will reportedly cost only CNY 1,500 or about $245.
