Christian Post Report – The next installment of the “Black Ops” series of “Call of Duty” is coming to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, generally called next generation consoles. “Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” may likely have a PC version as well, but it is not yet clear if versions for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360 will be developed.
The story is set in “a dark, twisted future where a new breed of Black Ops soldier emerges and the lines are blurred between our own humanity and the technology we created to stay ahead, in a world where cutting-edge military robotics define warfare,” as reported by Gamespot.
The game will have three modes: Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies.
Another report in Venture Capital Post specifies other game details that were said to be revealed in a recent teaser trailer that was released. One of the first reveals are possible game locations as indicated in actual map coordinates: a prison in Zurich, a school in Singapore and a location near the Nile River in Egypt.
Another detail the report speculated on was the possibility that “Black Ops 3” may likely allow players to “‘revisit’ sequences to previous events in the Black Ops 1 and Black Ops 2.” This is possible because of the time travel and alternate history features of all games in the series.
“Call of Duty: Black Ops 3” is developed by Treyarch and published by Activision. The first game of the series was released in 2010 and was set in the 1960s. The second game was released in 2012 and set in the 1980s and 2025.
Activision will be making a formal unveiling of the game on April 26.
