Christian Post Report – Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger celebrates a goal against FSV Mainz 05 during the German Bundesliga first division soccer match in Munich September 15, 2012.

FC Porto try to complete a shocker as they visit Bayern Munich at the Allianz-Arena in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals. The match is on April 21, 2015 at 2:45 p.m. ET.

Many thought of the German club as the favourite to win the coveted European Cup, however Porto currently lead the tie after a big win at home.

When they played at Estadio Do Dragao, Porto surprised their opponents with their performance.

Ricardo Quaresma showed that he could still compete with the best as he converted a penalty kick in only the third minute of the game. It only took him seven minutes to score his second, giving Porto a surprise 2-0 lead early in the game.

However, Bayern were able to get one goal back as Thiago Alcantara buried a shot past Porto goalkeeper Fabiano as the first half ended 2-1. Porto completed the night with another goal from Jackson Martinez as he scored in the 65th minute to give the hosts a 3-1 lead.

As they head to Germany, they have leverage and room to breathe as they try to stop a Munich club that will surely be more aggressive as they need goals in order to move on in the competition.

Munich are known for their quality players and they are not short of talent who can put the ball behind the back of the net. Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski will still be the central figures in the attack, while a deep midfield consisting of Xabi Alonso, Mario Gotze and Thiago should cause problems on the Porto defense.

As for the visitors, they should keep at pace with Bayern and make sure that their back line will play a near perfect game. Fabiano will need all the help he will get from Danilo, Alex Sandro and Maicon if they wish to complete the upset and book their place in the semi-finals.
