According to the Telegraph, churches have inquired about using live camels and angels on stilts. One church wanted to have its service in a barn.
Ecclesiastical insured the request after conducting risk assessments.
Helen Richards, manager at the company, told the paper: “We’ve had some bizarre conversations and some really interesting requests from our church customers.
“We are very much an enabler when it comes to things like this.”
A spokesman for the Church of England said the Church is glad to see churches taking their creativity to the next level.
“It’s wonderful that the same God who gave his only Son to the world also gave finance professionals the intelligence and insurers the wit to underwrite these risks properly,” he said.
