MESSAGE:
We learnt yesterday that there are two sides to every coin. So also, there are two kinds of people in every group; those that make thing work and those that don’t.
Those whose presence in a group brings about progress for that group are called catalyst. Are you a catalyst?
One major characteristics of catalyst is that they are not lazy. They also don’t see impossibilities, rather they are always thinking of how to make things happen. A catalyst is a team player; they get everyone involved in the work and help everyone become better at their given task. People love to be around catalysts because catalysts help to achieve success.
Are you hard-working? Are you pleasant to be around? Do you make great things happen amongst your friends? Do you help other people achieve success? Do you see the good in others and help them to grow? Be honest with yourself, if the answers to these questions is no, then you should start making conscious effort to becoming a catalyst.
Action Point: Look around you for a godly person with the characteristics of a catalyst and begin emulating them from today.
Hymn 1:
1. My faith looks up to Thee,
Thou Lamb of Calvary,
Saviour divine!
Now hear me while I pray,
Take all my guilt away,
Oh, let me from this day
Be wholly Thine!
2. May Thy rich grace impart
Strength to my fainting heart,
My zeal inspire!
As Thou hast died for me,
Oh, may my love to Thee
Pure, warm and changeless be
A living fire !
3. While life’s dark maze I tread,
And griefs around me spread,
Be Thou my guide;
Bid darkness turn to day,
Wipe sorrow’s tears away,
Nor let me ever stray
From Thee aside.
4. When ends life’s transient dream,
When death’s cold sullen stream
Shall o’er me roll;
Blest Saviour, then in love,
Fear and distrust remove;
Oh, bear me safe above,
A ransomed soul!
