Church denominations unite for big mission conference

The Church of England, Methodist Church, Salvation Army and the United Reformed Church and others are part of an effort to share the Gospel with others.

Moving Mountains will officially launch on Thursday with 200 different events planned through 11th March by local churches.

 

Local missions events include school visits, puppet making, litter picks, walks and treasure hunts, art and craft, film nights, sporting events, dementia friendly events and more.

National church leaders will attend the launch of conference along with their teams comprised of a mix of lay people, youth workers, ordinands and clergy.

 

Senior church leaders attending include Most Rev John Sentamu, Archbishop of York, Chair of Methodist Conference Loraine Mellor, Moderator of the (URC) General Assembly Alan Yates, Vice President of the Methodist Conference Jill Baker, and the Regional/Divisional Commander of the Salvation Army Drew McCombe.
