Mr Ogle, 45, died after being stabbed shortly after praying with a pastor near his home on Cluan Place in east Belfast on 27th January.

His skull was fractured and he was savagely stabbed 11 times in the back before being left to die on the street.

Jonathan Brown, 33, and Glenn Rainey, 32, have been charged with the murder.

Ian’s daughter Toni Johnston-Ogle, 27, told the Belfast Telegraph: “We are still afraid of going places on our own, we haven’t been far on our own. Mummy won’t go anywhere except in the car.

“We don’t want to bump into people, we’re still scared.”

A march was arranged for Sunday by women in east Belfast to protest against intimidation and violence in the community, with the organisers asking Toni Johnston-Ogle if she would accept their support.

Ian Ogle, known as ‘Big O’, was a community worker and a local spokesperson for the loyalist community.
