Christion Abercrombie collapsed during a game with Vanderbilt last September and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
His teammates and the Vanderbilt team met at the 50-yard line after the game to pray for Abercrombie and his parents prayed in the hospital, expecting a miracle.
After suffering numerous strokes, his family was told by doctors that he might not live through the night.

“I prayed with expectancy because I knew God was going to bless us,” Abercrombie’s mother Staci told WSB-TV.
Now Abercrombie is still recovering, he is determined to complete his degree in sports medicine.
He hopes his story will encourage other injured athletes and had this message for them: “Believe in God because without him nothing is possible. He made everything happen for me.
“I thank God for that every day.”
Abercrombie’s family and Tennessee State University have created a GoFundMe page to help with the cost of rehabilitation.
