The Christian actor, who stars in the new Jurassic World film, also defended Hollywood against those who say it is “anti-Christian”.
An accomplished actor, the 39-year-old has used his high profile to share about his religious views – including during at the MTV Movie Awards earlier this year.
He told Associated Press (AP): “Nothing fills my soul more than to think that maybe some kid watching that would say ‘hey, I’ve been thinking of that, I’ve been thinking of praying, let me try that out.”
Pratt declared “I love God!” while accepting the Choice Summer Movie Actor during the Teen Choice Awards in Los Angeles, last month.
Speaking with the AP news agency, he challenged any notion that the movie industry is hostile to him sharing his Christian beliefs.
He explained: “I’ve never had anyone in Hollywood say, ‘Hey, stop saying that’…
“I think there’s this narrative out there that exists out there that Hollywood is anti-Christian or anti-religious but that’s just not the case.
“They’re kind of not anti-anything, they’re kind of pro whatever’s authentic to you.
“And I like that because, for me, it’s authentic for me to be pro-Christian, pro-Jesus – that’s my thing. I like it. I’ve never had anyone try to shame me to my face.”
