Topic: Stay with It [TREM 5 October 2018 Daily Devotional]
Our God is very detailed, and so every word in the scripture matters. If you read the scripture above very closely, it tells us that the fig tree dried up from the roots. Put on your imagination, this means that the word of God went down into the roots of the tree, to cause it to dry up. The dried-up tree is the result of what took place at the roots. This means that every time you declare the word, or the word is spoken over your life, it goes down to affect the root of that situation. The fact that sometimes you do not see immediate results does not mean the word is not at work. Don’t abort your miracle by saying the wrong words. Hold firmly to your confession.
Isaiah 55:11 tells us that God’s words will never return void, but will prosper for the purpose it was sent. This is an assurance of the power of God’s Word, and in its ability to produce. God has given you this assurance, and now it is left with you to stick with the Word until you see the manifestation. Proverbs 30:5 (NLT) says, “Every word of God proves true…” The word can never fail.
Don’t be in the company of those that give up easily. You have an assurance from God that His word is a settled matter, and so take your eyes off that challenge, stop looking at the surface, because something is going on below the surface. “While we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal.” (2 Corinthians 4:18 NKJV) As you declare the word, something is taking place below the surface, which you cannot see with your human eye, but at the end of the day, the word will prevail. You are already victorious!
