Former NFL MVP Shaun Alexander Prays For Injured Alabama Qurterback Tua Tagovailoa



During the Alabama v. Georgia game on Saturday, Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa injured his ankle and was rushed into surgery, but not before former NFL running back Shaun Alexander could stop and pray with him. 


According to CBN News, as the undefeated team’s quarterback was being rolled off the field Saturday night, Alexander, an Alabama Alumni, came over to pray with Tagovailoa. 


The video, which was captured by WVTM-13’s sports anchor Kyle Burger, was posted to Twitter Saturday night and has since garnered around 131,000 views. 


Tagovailoa, one of college’s most promising quarterbacks, is known for being very vocal about his Christian faith, he even made a point to give glory to God for Alabama’s 2018 National Championship win. 


Furthermore, Sports Spectrum Magazine reports that Tagovailoa shared earlier this season that he and fellow Heisman candidate Dwayne Haskins, often share Bible verses with each other.
