Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End

A powerful new faith-based film, Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End, is bringing the centuries-old devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus to the big screen, inviting audiences to rediscover the depth of Christ’s love, mercy and compassion for humanity.

The French docudrama explores the spiritual experiences of St Margaret Mary Alacoque, a 17th-century Catholic nun who reported receiving visions of Jesus Christ at Paray-le-Monial, France. Through these encounters, Jesus revealed the significance of His Sacred Heart as a symbol of His divine and unconditional love for the world.

Directed and produced by filmmakers Steven and Sabrina Gunnell of KREA Film-Makers, the production combines historical reenactments, interviews with priests, religious figures, historians and theologians, as well as personal testimonies from individuals whose lives have been transformed through their devotion to Christ.

The film also examines the historical development of the Sacred Heart devotion, highlighting its connection to the Eucharist and the central place of the Virgin Mary in Catholic spirituality. It explores how the message revealed to St Margaret Mary continues to inspire faith, spiritual renewal and hope among Christians today.

Originally released in Europe in October 2025, the film attracted considerable attention, particularly in France, where it recorded significant cinema attendance. According to EWTN News, it sold nearly one million tickets across Europe.

Its US theatrical release took place in June 2026 through Fathom Entertainment, with special screenings also organised for parish communities, schools and Christian ministries.

Beyond its historical account, Sacred Heart: His Reign Has No End seeks to remind viewers that God’s love remains powerful in a world experiencing suffering, division and uncertainty. Through the testimonies featured in the film, audiences are encouraged to deepen their relationship with Jesus and embrace the message of mercy, forgiveness and love.

The film offers an opportunity for Christians, particularly those interested in Catholic history and spirituality, to learn more about the Sacred Heart devotion and its enduring significance in the life of the Church.

UK Police Investigate Vandalism of Jesus Statue at Catholic Church as Hate Crime

A Catholic community in Warrington, England, has been left deeply saddened following the vandalism of a religious statue and war memorial at St Alban’s Catholic Church.

The incident involved the decapitation of an outdoor statue of Jesus Christ, accompanied by offensive anti-Catholic graffiti on a memorial plaque honouring local residents who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars. The damage was discovered by worshippers attending Sunday Mass on November 1.

Cheshire Police confirmed that the incident was being investigated as a hate crime, with officers believing the damage occurred on Friday, October 30. A 42-year-old man was subsequently detained under the Mental Health Act in connection with the incident. Police have not announced any criminal conviction.

Parish priest Canon Christopher Cunningham expressed his sadness over the destruction, describing it as an incident of “true persecution”. He encouraged members of the congregation to remain united despite the distressing attack.

The incident has also raised concerns within the wider community, particularly because the damaged statue forms part of a war memorial with historical and religious significance. Parishioners have since made efforts to remove the offensive graffiti ahead of Remembrance Sunday.

Police have appealed for information as investigations continue, while the church community hopes to restore the damaged memorial and move forward in unity.

Faith Takes Centre Stage as Christian Leaders Make Gains in US Midterm Elections

Christian leaders and faith-driven candidates have made significant strides in the 2026 US midterm elections, bringing renewed attention to the role of faith in American politics. Among the notable victories was former North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper, who defeated Republican candidate Michael Whatley to secure a Senate seat, helping Democrats flip a previously Republican-held seat.

Cooper, a Presbyterian church elder and former Sunday school teacher of 20 years, has frequently spoken about the influence of his Christian faith. Following his victory, he referenced Luke 12:48, declaring, “To whom much is given, much is required.”

Other Christian candidates also recorded historic victories. Methodist pastor Adam Hamilton defeated incumbent Republican Senator Roger Marshall in Kansas, ending a 94-year period without a Democratic Senate victory in the state. Meanwhile, Baptist pastor Frederick Douglas Haynes III won the race for Texas’ 30th Congressional District.

Their victories highlight the growing involvement of faith leaders in American public life, with several candidates drawing on biblical principles of compassion, justice, service and care for vulnerable communities. The results have also demonstrated that religious faith continues to play an important role in political conversations across the United States.

Pope Leo XIV Prays for Victims of War During All Souls’ Day Mass

Pope Leo XIV has offered prayers for families mourning loved ones killed in war, calling on those with the power to end conflicts to listen to the suffering of innocent people.

The Pope made the appeal on Monday, November 2, 2026, while celebrating Mass for the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed at Rome’s Campo Verano Cemetery.

Reflecting on Jesus’ teaching, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted” (Matthew 5:4), Pope Leo remembered those who had recently lost family members, particularly victims of ongoing wars and violence.

The Mass was celebrated as Catholics around the world observed All Souls’ Day, a special occasion dedicated to praying for the faithful departed and remembering loved ones who have died.

The Pope also reflected on the Christian hope of eternal life, reminding the faithful that their bond with those who have died is not broken but transformed through faith in Christ.
