TOPIC: The Millennial Reign Of Christ (Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministries Friday, 8 June 2018)

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Revelation 20:4-5

MEMORY VERSE: “Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.” –Revelation 20:6

The MESSAGE:

The study of the last days’ event (Eschatology) should be of great interest to all Christians in the world who aspire to grow higher and deeper in the knowledge of God. Christ’s Millennial reign is one of the unique events that should get the attention of heaven bound Christians. The millennial comes after two very important events in the Bible: the Rapture and the Great tribulation. It is a time when God’s purpose will be fully realised on earth. Our Lord Jesus Christ will be the bride and will appear in order to put an end to the great tribulation and set up the millennial kingdom. It will be a time when the world will be guided by the direction of God through Christ. The saints of God will be its judges, kings, prince and princesses of the kingdom. What a glorious kingdom you and me must not miss! The duration of the millennial reign is one thousand years only (Revelation 20:7). During this time, satan will be bound and cast into the bottomless pit and shut up there so that he will not deceive men again. Then, all outward sources of temptation will be removed so that the natural man would demonstrate what he should have been without satanic influence. Christ’s millennial reign is a unique, special and divine kingdom characterised by abundant peace, joy, holiness, righteousness, glory, comfort of life and justice. During this period, there will be no sickness, nor curse, nor suffering, nor failure, nor any other thing that brings sorrow to man. It will be a time when both mild and wild animals will dwell with man peacefully without fear.

I pray sincerely from the bottom of my heart that nothing whatsoever will make you miss the glorious kingdom, in Jesus’ name.

No doubt the desire of everyone is to be part of the saints that will reign with Christ. But it is not an automatic wishful thinking or mere desire. This is why God sent His Son to die on the cross. Sinners should, therefore, repent and believe in Christ by accepting Him as their personal Lord and Saviour after a genuine repentance from known and unknown sins. Backsliders must come back to Christ like the prodigal son before it will be too late. Believers should be steadfast, unmovable and consistent in living a holy and blameless life. May the blood of Jesus and the mercy of God secure our final salvation, in Jesus’ name.

The blood of Jesus and the mercy of God shall secure your final salvation.

MORNING
1. Blood of Jesus, secure my final salvation, in the name of Jesus.

4. Powers from the pit of hell, assigned to truncate my destiny, loose your hold, in Jesus’ name.
5. Blood of Jesus, purge my soul, in the name of Jesus.
6. I plead the blood of Jesus into my end, in the name of Jesus.
7. I lift the blood of Jesus as a standard against the spirit of the age awaiting my downfall, in Jesus’ name.

TOPIC: Bearing Fruits That Will Abide [Sunday, 10th June 2018]

MEMORY VERSE: “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.” – John 15:16 (scroll down for SUNDAY SCHOOL HYMN)

BIBLE PASSAGE: Acts 16:1-5

1 Then came he to Derbe and Lystra: and, behold, a certain disciple was there, named Timotheus, the son of a certain woman, which was a Jewess, and believed; but his father was a Greek:

2 Which was well reported of by the brethren that were at Lystra and Iconium.

3 Him would Paul have to go forth with him; and took and circumcised him because of the Jews which were in those quarters: for they knew all that his father was a Greek.

4 And as they went through the cities, they delivered them the decrees for to keep, that were ordained of the apostles and elders which were at Jerusalem.

5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.

INTRODUCTION:

There is need for an extra spiritual effort on the soul saved to get them established, localised in a church fellowship and mobilised until they too become soul winners. The Master did not just command us to bear fruits but that the fruits may abide (John 15:16). There is nothing compared to the worth of a soul won into the kingdom of God (Luke 15:4-7).

LESSON OUTLINES
1. Fruit-bearing is a must for the believer
2. Abiding fruit is Christ’s command

FRUIT-BEARING IS A MUST FOR THE BELIEVER
The primary purpose for our election into the family of God is to go forth and bear fruits (John 15:16; Romans 7:4). Failing to carry out this instruction may be disastrous in that it may lead to an eternal loss of fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ (John 15:1-2; Matthew 3:10).

It is wise therefore to watch on possible causes of unfruitfulness which may include: wiles and devices of the wicked one, tribulations and persecution, worldliness (Matthew 13:18-22). It is important to note that these causes may not be due to a personal fault, yet this type of attitude may incur the Lord’s disappointment for failing to invest life’s resources (Luke 13:6-9; 19:20).

ABIDING FRUIT IS CHRIST’S COMMAND
Jesus ordained the believers not only to bear fruits but also to ensure that the fruits last (abide) (John 15:16). In order to achieve this therefore, efforts must be geared towards conceiving, maturing and multiplying of the fruits (Colossians 1:28). An essential tool in the hand of the Holy Spirit to achieve this is the man/woman sold out to the ministry of follow-up of the souls. Biblical examples include the early Apostles particularly Paul (Acts 2:46; 15:36; 16:5; 18:18-23; Ephesians 1:15-18; Philippians 2:19-20). The principles adopted include spending quality time in prayers and Bible study with souls as led by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is pleased to increase the work of grace in a life when our trust and confidence in God is expressed in the new convert to suitable and appropriate truths in the Holy Bible (Acts 2:41-47).

CONCLUSION:
The Lord’s command is that all born again Christians should bear fruits and more importantly that the fruits should abide. Having examined some basic principles, it is only worth it to put into practise all taught in this lesson. Call on the Holy Spirit today and He will help you in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Extra funding to protect places of worship from hate crime

The scheme will fund security measures including CCTV, alarms and improved locks at places of worship vulnerable to attack.

Prime Minister Theresa May said: “We are a country of many faiths, and as I said following last year’s appalling terror attack in Finsbury Park, an attack on one community is an attack on all of us.

 

“Freedom of worship, respect and tolerance for those of different faiths is fundamental to our values and I am determined to stamp out extremism and hate crime wherever it occurs.”

Successful applicants in England and Wales will receive up to £56,000 towards improved security to counter the threat at their premises.

Previous funding has been awarded when places of worship have been subjected to offensive graffiti, the defacing of religious symbols or attacks on worshippers.

Bidders will need to provide evidence they are vulnerable to hate crime or have been subject to a hate crime in the last two years.

The Places of Worship Security Funding scheme, which launched in 2016 and is worth £2.4 million in total, has helped 89 churches, mosques, temples and gurdwaras to install protective measures to deter attackers.

Synagogues are covered under a separate scheme administered by the Community Security Trust.

The favour of God can be described as tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord. It is the special affection of God toward you that releases an influence on you, so that others are inclined to like you, or to cooperate with you.

The favour of God is what determines the limits of every man’s destiny. Once you are favoured, you are made. Favour is the mother of destiny. Favour is what converts labour into fortune. It enhances the value of your labour. The limit of your destiny is defined by the level of favour operating in your life.

When God’s favour is at work in your life, it makes you prosper wherever you are; even in strange lands. Favour made Daniel to prosper in Babylon, it distinguished Isaac in Philistine and made Joseph to prosper in Potiphar’s house. Even pharaoh handed the whole Egypt to Joseph just by the favour of God. That is why I know that the favour of God will distinguish you today in the name of Jesus!

When supernatural comes, natural laws are suspended. By the supernatural favour of God, things will turn for your sake! Today’s favour will change your story! Natural laws will be suspended for your sake in the name of Jesus!

When God’s favour is at work in your life, your promotion is certain. Joseph was kept in prison and he prospered even inside the prison. The bottler forgot Joseph when he went back to the palace but God did not forget him. You may be delayed but your blessing must surely come to pass.

Psalm 75:6-7 – For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. 7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

God supernaturally arranged Joseph’s lifting and he was remembered supernaturally. Today, things might be looking as if God has forgotten about you, I came to announce to you that God will remember you now! The same God that remembered Joseph at the appointed time is remembering you now! This is your appointed time to be remembered for favour! There will be no more delay! Begin to enjoy supernatural promotion from now on in the name of Jesus the Christ –Amen!

Some people seem to start their day on the “wrong foot.” They feel all right when they wake up, but as soon as something goes wrong they lose their footing and walk with a “loser’s limp” the rest of the day. Once they are off to a bad start, it seems they never catch up.

If someone offends us early in the morning, our anger can keep us defensive all day. If we start the day rushing, it seems we never slow down. But today our feet can be firmly planted in God’s Word. There will be no “bad day” when God’s Word supports, strengthens, and directs us.

Prayer Starter: Lord, I lift my day up to You and ask for Your help to get off on the right foot. Help me to go forward with a clean heart and a positive mindset focused on You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Queen to open new galleries at Westminster Abbey

The head of state, joined by the Prince of Wales, will formally launch the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Galleries set more than 16 metres above the Abbey’s floor.

It is home to 300 treasures from the Abbey’s collection, many on display for the first time, reflecting the building’s thousand-year history.

 

The galleries tell the story of the place of worship in four themes: building Westminster Abbey; worship and daily life; Westminster Abbey and the monarchy; and the Abbey and national memory.

The Queen and prince will be given a guided tour of the area and be shown historical artefacts including an original 13th-century altarpiece from King Henry III’s church.

We must have a virile, dynamic, aggressive Christian who lives Christ seven days a week, who is ready to die, if necessary, for his faith. We need Christians who are ethical, honest, gracious, bold, strong, and devoted followers of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Prayer for the day: I realize how spineless and pampered my Christian walk is. Give me Your courage, Lord Jesus, to follow You more devotedly.

Ye know the house of Stephanas…and that they have addicted themselves to the ministry of the saints. – 1 Corinthians 16:15

I want you to begin to develop an addiction today—an addiction to the Word of God. That may sound odd to you, especially if you don’t have much of an interest in the Word right now. But, believe me, it’s possible. I’ve done it myself and I’ve seen others do it, time and again.

All you have to do is make a decision to give yourself to it. To focus your time and attention on it. The more you give yourself to it, the more your desire for it will grow. Eventually, it will consume your thinking.

Surprised? You shouldn’t be. That happens with anything you totally give yourself to. It happens, for example, with people who give themselves to pornography. As they focus their attention on it, the spirit behind it moves in on their consciousness and eventually draws them from mental activity into physical activity. Finally, they come to a place where they can’t be satisfied. They can’t get enough.

That same principle works on the positive side when you begin to give yourself to God’s Word. You can give yourself to it to the point where it totally consumes your mental and physical life. The more of it you get, the more you want. The Spirit behind the Word, the Holy Spirit, will draw you and lead you closer to Jesus than you ever imagined possible.

I’ve never yet met anyone walking in faith and power who at some time hadn’t developed that kind of addiction by giving themselves totally to the Word for an extended time. I don’t mean just a few minutes here and there either. I’m talking about some serious time.

So determine to do that. Determine to become a “Word addict.” Once you do, you’ll never be willing to live without it again.

“And all the elders and all the people said to him, “Do not listen or consent.” 1 Kings 20:8 (NKJV)

There are three gates into a man’s life, the eye, the ear and the mouth, and one must be very careful who/what they give access to. These are not the days to walk about carelessly, or to handle yourself anyhow. Ephesians 5:15 (KJV) says “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise.“ This means that, you must be careful what you pay attention to, because whatever you give your attention to, has the ability to affect your life either positively or negatively.

If you read from verse one of 1Kings 20, you will see that the King of Syria literally decided to start a war with the King of Israel. He started sending him threatening messages demanding the goods of the land, and the King of Israel agreed to these terms. And of course, Ben-Hadad even requested for more than what he asked for initially. At this point, Ahab cried out to the elders of the land about what was happening. Verse 8, which is our text of the day, tells us what the elders’ response was. They said to him “Do not listen or consent”, because whatever you consent to, has the power to influence you.

I particularly like the order of their statement, which is listen first, then consent, because you must listen first, to give consent. These elders said, don’t even listen, not to mention giving consent, and I believe that, that was the turning point for Ahab. The Bible tells us that they went on to defeat the Syrians.

Child of God, what are you listening to, and what are you consenting to? You can change the course of situations, you can turn it around, you have the power and authority to do that. Therefore, don’t just accept any thought that comes into your head, you have the right to choose what you pay attention to, and what you consent to. Make the right decision today.
