Topic: The Major Key to Having a Great Life

How do you feel about your life? Would you say you love it? Or do you just get through each day, enduring the things you don’t want to do, putting up with the things that frustrate you, wishing you had someone else’s life?

Do you believe you will finally be happy someday…when you have this or that?

It’s a mistake for us to go through life thinking we can’t be happy until we have something we want or our circumstance changes. The truth is we’ll always find something to be unhappy about until we learn to be happy in the Lord.

I know about this from personal experience. I got a very bad start in life, and it made me a miserable, angry, insecure person who didn’t trust anybody because I believed if I didn’t take care of myself, nobody else would. And that caused me to be very selfish and self-centered.

But God didn’t create us to live selfish lives, spending all our time trying to get what we want. He put a desire in us to have pleasure, but we will never really experience His blessings – His peace, joy, love, and all the good things He wants to give us – if we live with a “What about me?!” mentality.

John 10:10 says, The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance [to the full, till it overflows].

The enemy – the devil – wants to steal our joy and destroy our lives. But Jesus came and died on the cross to give us abundant life, “to the full, till it overflows”! And it’s a tragedy when born-again Christians don’t enjoy their lives because they have a “barely getting by, hanging on till Jesus comes to get me” mentality.

If you’re unhappy and want to love your life, a major key is to make an attitude adjustment.

Having a negative, critical attitude and feeling sorry for ourselves sours everything. We all have things we could complain about, but it doesn’t do any good, so we’re just wasting our time and energy when we give in to it.

Make a determined decision to have a more thankful attitude in your day-to-day life. Thank God for the good things you can think of right now, and actively look for more things to add to the list each day. This will help you stay focused on God’s goodness.

Another way to improve your attitude is to get your mind off yourself and think about others more. Ask God how you can be a blessing and help make someone else’s life better. When we’re paying attention to others, we can easily find something we can do, whether it’s giving an encouraging word or compliment, a random act of kindness, or a hug. There’s really no end to the ways we can show God’s love to someone around us.

And when we really understand how much God loves us and we share His love with others, then we can love the life we live!

Since Jesus invites us to cast all of our care and worry on Him, why do so many of us refuse to let go of it? Maybe we don’t realize how miserable we are when we carry the burden of worry.

The only way to have victory in our lives is to follow God’s wisdom, and He says we must quit worrying if we want to have peace. So when things come our way that cause us to be concerned, we need God’s help. How do we get it? First Peter 5:6 says that we need to humble ourselves.

That seems pretty clear and simple, yet some continue struggling because they’re too stubborn to ask for help. But the humble get the help. So if your way isn’t working, why not try God’s way?

When we humble ourselves and ask for God’s help, then He’s able to release His power in our situations. It’s only then that we can really enjoy life. So humble yourself today and let Him take care of your worries.

Prayer Starter: God, I know I can’t peacefully handle my life on my own, so I humble myself today and ask You for help. I trust You and give You control in my life.

MESSAGE:

Our God is a God of goals. When He sets out to do something, it is because He has a goal in mind. He also expects us to do everything we do with a goal in mind. He expects us to set goals and work hard to achieve those goals.

What is your goal for this school session as pertains to your grades? How do you want your parents to perceive you? Do you want them to see you as a good child or as a bad child? Those who don’t set goals just keep taking actions without any reasons behind their actions; no wonder most of them end up in disasters they were not expecting. You should live your life purposefully. Set goals for yourself and make sure all your actions are gearing you towards the fulfillment of your goals. This way, you will watch your actions and only do things that are profitable to you, and no one will be able to deceive you into wasting your time or misbehaving.

Action Point: Before you make any decision, ask yourself, “how does this decision help me in the fulfillment of my set goals?”

Text: Hebrews 9:24-28 (KJV)

Key Verse: “So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation” (Hebrews 9:28).

MESSAGE:

As some missionaries fled for their lives from some Chinese bandits, a nightfall overtook them. They huddled together in an old abandoned building. It was filthy and vermin infested. Among the fleeing missionaries were Archibald Glover and his family. After a wretched night, little Hendley Glover said, “Daddy, I think Jesus must have slept in a place like this when he had no where to go.” “Yes my boy, I think it is very likely” answered Archibald. Then little five years old Hendley said, “Then we ought to be glad to be like Jesus and suffer for Him!”

Every human has an appointment to die the physical death. However, Jesus offered Himself as a universal sacrifice so that we would not have to die spiritually. Spiritual death is eternal separation from God. This is what translates to eternal suffering in the lake of fire. It is evident that the sacrifice of Christ is infinitely better than those of the law.

Christ’s sacrifice, though offered upon earth, was by Himself carried up into heaven and is there presented by the way of daily intercession as He appears in the presence of God for us. He has gone to heaven not just to rest from His labours but to present us to God, perfect all our affairs and finally prepare a place for us.

For all men, our sojourn here on earth is but for a probation which should be used as a period of preparation to meet our God. Jesus became the Lamb of God that was slain for the salvation of mankind so that all can have access to the Father.

Thought For The Day: In Christ’s alone resides full salvation.

Topic: Amazing Love [TREM’s Daily Friday March 30, 2018]

“Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers” 1 Peter 1:18

Yesterday, I made it clear that Jesus had a choice. He was not a robot or a programmed machine. He could have turned back and said No, but I am glad He did not. What a love! Indeed, an amazing love. Every day we should think of the finished work of Calvary and thank Him who paid such a price.

Apostle Peter, who walked the streets with Jesus, who saw Him in His humanity – he saw Him display all levels of emotions, saw the intense weight of the cross penned our scripture for today. Put yourself in the shoes of Apostle Peter, then you will understand the weight of that scripture. He took time to remind us that we were not redeemed with corruptible things. No amount of silver or gold or any other precious stone can be compared to the price Jesus paid for our salvation.

He did not stop at that, in verse 22, he calls us to extend the love of Christ to others. How else can you extend this love but by sharing the good news of salvation to a dying world? Look around you, who can you witness to around you? Many times, when churches have programs, you see believers inviting other believers to the program. Thank God for the believers, but where are the unbelievers? The reason for the invitation is to introduce Jesus to them. Enough of believers moving from church to church, it is time to populate the kingdom. Go into your world and tell them about the amazing love of Jesus.

There is so much pain and tension in the world. Many are dying today in bitterness and frustration. Don’t let it happen, share the love of Jesus with them. Let the light of the gospel shine in your world and see the difference.

Topic: The Essence Of The Praise Of Faith [Seeds of Destiny Friday March 30, 2018]

Scripture: In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. Psalm 56:4

Thought For The Day: No matter the situation of your life, God is the reason things are not worse than the way they are now.

It has been discovered that many people only praise God when something good happens to them like a promotion, an intervention, a healing or deliverance. Just as it is very good to appreciate God for what He has done, it is important to know that there is a higher level of praise that is more than just praising God for what He has already done. It is called the praise of faith.

Now, what does the praise of faith do?
1. The praise of faith celebrates discoveries in the Word of God. The revealed Word of God is enough to praise God. (Jeremiah 15:16).
2. Faith praises God to let Him know that He is the reason things are not worse than the way they are currently. In Acts 16:25, Paul and Silas sang praises to God even though they had been lashed and thrown into prison. They praised God because they were alive; it is possible that they probably would have been killed. God was the reason their situation was not worse than it was.

Beloved, no matter the situation of your life, God is the reason things are not worse than the way they are now. Things could have been worse but God prevented the devil from having his way in your life. Therefore, praise God unconditionally.

Remember This: No matter the situation of your life, God is the reason things are not worse than the way they are now.

Assignment:
1. Determine to praise God for who He is and not only what he can do.

Prayer: O LORD, baptize me with the Spirit of praise. Help me to praise You for Who You are, LORD, Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Dig In To Your Covenant [Kenneth & Gloria Copeland, Friday March 30, 2018]

This cup is the new covenant [ratified and established] in My blood. – 1 Corinthians 11:25, The Amplified Bible

New Covenant. It’s a familiar phrase to most of us. But do we really know what it means?

No we don’t. Because if we did, every one of us would be faith a giant. Instead of struggling, “trying” to believe the promises of God, we’d be like Abraham: “Strong in faith…fully persuaded that, what [God] had promised, he was also able to perform” (Romans 4:20-21).

That’s the kind of confidence that welled up in Abraham when God cut the covenant with him. It was an inferior covenant to ours, made with the blood of animals. Yet it transformed a doubting Abraham into the very father of faith. Why? Because, Abraham understood the significance of it.

He knew that entering into the covenant of blood meant you were totally and forever giving yourself away to someone else. Once you did it, nothing would ever be exclusively yours again. All that you were, all that you had or ever would have became the equal property of your covenant partner.

During the covenant ceremony in Abraham’s day, the partners exchanged coats, each one giving their authority to the other. They exchanged weapons as a way of saying, “Your enemies are now my enemies. I’ll fight your fights as if they were my own.” They walked through the blood of slain animals, pronouncing their loyalty to one another, even to the death.

When God made covenant with him, Abraham knew there was no longer any room for doubt. God had proven how intensely He desired to be God to him. He’d given him everything He had and bound Himself to Abraham in a relationship that could not be dissolved. Abraham comprehended the gravity of a covenant agreement. It convinced him once and for all that God’s promises could be trusted. It became an anchor to his soul.

Do you want to be a faith giant like Father Abraham? Then dig in to the covenant you have with God. Study it out in the Word. Let the Holy Spirit show you what really happened when Jesus became the sacrifice that ratified your covenant with God. Let Him show you what it meant when He gave you His Name (John 16:23), His authority (Matthew 28:18-20), His armor and weapons (Ephesians 6:10-17).

Once you realize what Jesus actually meant when He said, “This is the New Covenant established in My blood,” your life will never be the same again.

Basic Scripture: Matthew 5:40-48

It was Alton Paton who wrote about the love of God:

“This love is not a partial skeptical love which seeks to embrace only those who echo our feelings, hopes, aspirations, likes and dislikes is it reciprocal. Rather, it is love that is trusting and opens towards all, both friends and foes. It is unsuspecting and it seeks to win over the opponents even as he may be planning to stab us viciously in the back.” Wow! Win over an opponent that is planning to stab you viciously in the back? Oh! Lord, help us in 2018!

The Holy Ghost wants you to be reminded that there is something called, NONRECIPROCAL LOVE! It is also called UNDESERVED LOVE! That is, loving your spouse, children, business, associates, relations, church members, friends etc even when they sound as if they are HEADQUARTERS OF EVIL’ to us, that means even when they are cruel to us, we must love them! From our basic scripture in Matthew 5 vs. 48, Jesus said we must aim for perfection after God, as OUR ONLY MODEL!

That means we are going to love all humanity- cruel or kind, for God is love (John 4: 16-21). WHILE WE WERE ENEMIES OF GOD AND SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US. THIS IS NONRECIPROCAL AND UNDESERVED LOVE. What good did Stephen’s killer do to him, before he prayed wonderfully for them? (Acts 7:56-60). This is NONRECIPROCAL love and it may have led to the conversion of Paul through that divine visitation by the LORD Himself near Damascus!

Where was it recorded in your Bible that Mr. POTIPHAR apologies to Joseph? After becoming Prime Minister, the second in command in Egypt, sought revenge for her lies against him and for her cruelty against him! Oh! Sometimes I am tempted to change my name to Bishop Chris (Joseph) KWAKPVWE because I admire his heart! If I was the one or like millions of us, my first assignment as a Prime Minister would be to set up a special tribunal/civil court to try that wicked woman BEFORE HANGING HER on ma gold winter day! But not Joseph!

What a man and what a heart! But don’t forget his God is yoke God and in this year 2018, God wants you to walk DAILY through the JOSEPH STREET!’ Love people that do not deserved it! You want to be DECORATED champion? Walk through the JOSEPH STREET” DAILY! Shalom!
