3 Truths You Need to Understand About Seeing in the Spirit Realm

You don’t have be a prophet to prophesy. Any believer who is filled with the Spirit can prophesy according to the proportion of their faith (see Rom. 12:6).

Much the same, you don’t have to be a seer to see in the spirit realm. If God wants to open your eyes, He can.

In this practical prophetic teaching video, I share three truths every believer needs to know about seeing in the spirit. If you’re curious about the seer realm, you’ll want to dive in and watch this video more than once.

Retirement Accelerates Drop of a Person’s Verbal Memory Function, Study Reveals

REUTERS/Regis DuvignauSeniors relax by the sea in Andernos, Southwestern France, June 23, 2010.

While retirement frees people from daily job responsibilities, a new study has found that it contributes to the fast memory decline.

A major British study that monitored 3,400 retired civil servants has revealed that short-term memory declines after a person retires from work. The study was conducted by researchers from University College London and Kings College London and participated in by volunteers who underwent regular memory tests over a 30-year period spanning the final part of their careers and the early years of their retirement.

The regular memory tests included checks on verbal memory and the volunteers’ ability to remember words and also tested the volunteers reasoning as well as their verbal fluency.

As the results of the study revealed, a retiree’s verbal memory function, which naturally declines as a person ages, experiences an accelerated drop, or 38 percent faster than those who have not retired yet. Experts opine that this can be attributed to the fact that retirees lack regular mental stimulation, which accelerates memory loss and dementia.

For Professor Cary Cooper, an expert in organizational psychology at Manchester Business School, the recently released results of the study are only an affirmation of the adage saying, “If you don’t use it, you lose it.” Hence, he encourages retirees to actively use their memory so that they can avert or delay Dementia.

“It makes it more likely that dementia will set in earlier. We know the more cognitively active you are the more it…

Man accused of assault claims to be a boy trapped in an adult’s body

“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair” (Charles Dickens, A Tale of Two Cities).

The stock market has added $6.9 trillion to US wealth since the 2016 election. According to the New York Times, “Every major economy on earth is expanding at once, a synchronous wave of growth that is creating jobs, lifting fortunes and tempering fears of popular discontent.”

But while the economy is booming and prosperity is rising, another expansion is changing lives as well.

“The Gay Rights Movement Is Undoing Its Best Work”

Joseph Roman, age thirty-eight, has been charged with predatory criminal sexual assault. Prosecutors say he repeatedly attacked three girls who were six to eight years old at the time. During a hearing last week, prosecutors said Roman admitted to some of the attacks and told Chicago police “he is a 9-year-old trapped in an adult’s body.”

As our culture continues down the “truth is what you believe it to be” road, we can expect more people to claim the right to define themselves by whatever age, gender, or race they choose.

Practitioners of polyamory (“many loves” or non-monogamous relationships) are attempting to normalize their lifestyle in our culture. One writer now claims that “we need to question the limits we have placed on what counts as a ‘romantic’ relationship” (her emphasis). She is calling for the “freedom to love” as many people as we choose.

Andrew Sullivan is an openly gay conservative political commentator. He recently wrote a column for New York magazine titled, “The Gay Rights Movement Is Undoing Its Best Work.”

Sullivan celebrates the movement that led to the legalization of same-sex marriage. However, he warns that “the movement is now…

SpaceX Sets Falcon Heavy Rocket Launch Date

SpaceXThe Falcon Heavy Rocket is set to lift-off on Feb. 6

After numerous tests and delays, SpaceX has finally announced a firm launch date for its new Falcon Heavy rocket. CEO Elon Musk announced on Saturday that the giant rocket will lift-off on Feb. 6 at Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

The announcement came three days after the successful test firing of the rocket’s 27 first-stage engines on Wednesday. The rocket will depart from the historic Launch Pad 39A – same pad that was used for NASA’s Apollo moon missions and space shuttle flights.

“Aiming for first flight of Falcon Heavy on Feb. 6 from Apollo launchpad 39A at Cape Kennedy,” Musk wrote on Twitter. “Easy viewing from the public causeway.”

Musk did not specify the launch time for the first flight of the Falcon Heavy rocket. However, the mission is expected to lift off during a three-hour launch window that opens at 1:30 p.m. EST (18:30 GMT). SpaceX also has a backup launch date which is available the following day.

For its maiden flight, the rocket will be carrying Musk’s own midnight cherry Tesla Roadster. It will carry this payload 33.9 million miles (54.6 million kilometers) into space, putting it in orbit around Mars where it will stay indefinitely.

The Falcon Heavy rocket is touted as the most powerful rocket since NASA’s Saturn V moon rocket which sent the first men to the moon. The heavy-lift rocket towers 230 feet tall (70 meters) and is designed to launch payloads of up to 119,000 lbs – twice the load of its nearest rival, the Delta IV Heavy built by the United Launch Alliance.

The rocket consists of…

Irish referendum on abortion to be held by end of May

The Irish Government has formally backed proposals to hold a referendum on the state’s constitutional amendment on abortion by the end of May.

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar said Ireland already had abortion, but it was unsafe, unregulated and unlawful.

“In my opinion we cannot continue to export our problems and import our solutions,” Mr Varadkar said.

He outlined the Government’s approach after a specially convened cabinet meeting in Government Buildings, Dublin, on Monday evening.

Voters will be asked whether they want to repeal the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution, which gives equal right to life to the mother and the unborn, and replace it with new wording to allow parliament to legislate on abortion in the future.

The Taoiseach said if people voted to repeal, the Government would then table draft legislation that would allow for unrestricted abortion up to 12 weeks into pregnancy.

Life Experiences, not Chemical Imbalance, Cause the Mental Health Issue, Author Claims

Reuters/File PhotoAccording to the World Health Organization, depression is the leading cause of disability.

While depression is said to be caused by an emotional imbalance in the brain, an author has claimed that it may not be entirely true.

In an article written on the Huffington Post, author Johann Hari claims that depression may not exactly be a result of the chemical imbalance in the brain. Rather, the author, whose latest book is titled “Lost Connections: Uncovering the Real Causes of Depression – and the Unexpected Solution,” suggests that depression is primarily due to a person’s experiences.

“The more I investigated depression and anxiety, the more I found that, far from being caused by a spontaneously malfunctioning brain, depression and anxiety are mostly being caused by events in our lives…depression and anxiety are not caused in our skulls, but by the way many of us are being made to live. There are real biological factors, like your genes, that can make you significantly more sensitive to these causes, but they are not the primary drivers,” goes a portion of Hari’s claims in his Huffington Post article.

However, some can’t help but be skeptical about Hari’s claims on depression and what causes it. As excerpts from his book “Lost Connections: Uncovering the Real Causes of Depression – and the Unexpected Solution” have already been published online, some can’t help but question his statements despite having the best of intentions on about writing depression. For some, Hari should not have cherry-picked evidence to support his statements in his book about depression as,…

Eight Reasons Denominations Are Struggling – Rainer on Leadership #402

Podcast Episode #402

SUBSCRIBE: iTunes • RSS • Stitcher • TuneIn RadioGoogle Play • iHeart Radio

We turn our attention to denominations today and examine eight reasons many of them are struggling.

Some highlights from today’s episode include:

  • Getting angry about your circumstances never accomplishes anything.
  • One major reason denominations boomed in the late 20th century was because they were reaching cultural Christians.
  • Infighting often causes denominations to make up a fight just to make sure there’s a fight going on.
  • Denominational infighting keeps the denomination from focusing on the Great Commission.
  • Statistics and numbers are a reflection of denominational reality.

The eight reasons for denominational struggle that we cover are:

  1. The common factor used to be theology
  2. Anger at change
  3. Holding on to the methods of the past
  4. Deflected blame
  5. Infighting
  6. Refusal to see reality
  7. Attempts to change with old wineskins
  8. Failure to see their clear purpose
