Thought For The Day: The parental and spiritual mantle behind you determines the mountains you can level.

The Scriptures make it clear that there are benefits in parental cover. There are Divine blessings attached to parental cover.

One of the blessings is that your parental cover pushes you to your destiny, making you to take action that guarantees success in life.

In other words, the unction behind you determines the actions of your life; the steps you can take in life are determined by the unction that backs you.

The unction that you are under determines your outcome in life. The anointing that covers you determines your covering and outcome in life.

When you run with the instruction of your spiritual cover, a word uttered through him can give you leverage in life. Where other people are obstructed and hindered by situations, you fly over and soar high above the same situations.

God does not give people their pastors by mistake. God gives you your pastor as a spiritual parental cover.

The parental and spiritual mantle behind you determines the mountains you can level.

There are things I can dare because of the massive generational mantle behind my life and Ministry. Recently, our father in the Lord, Bishop David Oyedepo visited our on-going construction site, the Lord’s Garden and I was so excited because he usually comes with a heavy mantle and utterance that will shift me and the Ministry forward.

If you have a lion backing you, you can confront an elephant or a Hyena. If you know your strength, you can confront any situation.

Beloved, I want you to know that it is not only ability that determines destiny; it is ability plus connectivity that determines productivity. It is possible to be talented and still be resisted; it is possible to be talented and be frustrated, but you cannot be connected to a higher mantle and be resisted by lower devils.

Remember This: The parental and spiritual mantle behind you determines the mountains you can level.

2. Submit to your spiritual cover.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for the grace to carry out every instruction from my spiritual cover in order to maximise my destiny in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: Able and Available [Our Daily Bread 30th Tuesday January, 2018]

Read: Psalm 46, Bible in a Year: Exodus 23–24; Matthew 20:1–16

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1

My husband was at work when I received news about my mom’s cancer diagnosis. I left him a message and reached out to friends and family. None were available. Covering my face with trembling hands, I sobbed. “Help me, Lord.” A resulting assurance that God was with me comforted me through those moments when I felt utterly alone.

I thanked the Lord when my husband came home and support from friends and family trickled in. Still, the calming awareness of God’s presence I sensed in those first few hours of lonely grieving affirmed that God is readily and faithfully available wherever and whenever I need help.

In Psalm 46, the psalmist proclaims God is our sanctuary, strength, and steadfast supporter (v. 1). When it feels as if we’re surrounded by chaos or everything we thought was stable crashes down around us, we don’t have to fear (vv. 2–3). God doesn’t falter (vv. 4–7). His power is evident and effective (vv. 8–9). Our eternal Sustainer gives us confidence in His unchanging character (v. 10). The Lord, our secure stronghold, remains with us forever (v. 11).

God created His followers to prayerfully support and encourage one another. But He also affirms He is always able and available. When we call on God, we can trust Him to keep His promises to provide for us. He will comfort us through His people as well as through His personal presence.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for assuring us You’re always accessible because You’re always with us.

God is always able and available to help us.

Insight:

Being a member of the kingdom of God brings a sense of personal security. In Psalm 46, God’s sovereignty is eloquently compared to a mighty fortress against which the waters of chaos and death can do no harm (vv. 1–3). This brings a response of worship in a troubled world (vv. 4–9). What relief it is to follow the admonition “Be still, and know that I am God,” for God “will be exalted among the nations, [He] will be exalted in the earth” (v. 11). God’s power and presence give an inner stability to the believer that nothing else can. Our righteous God of grace is ready and available wherever and whenever we need help.

Topic: Make His Word the Last Word [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Tuesday January 30th, 2018]

I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. – Revelation 1:8

Jesus is the beginning and the ending. He is the Almighty. When He told us that in the book of Revelation, He wasn’t just giving us a general piece of information about Himself. He was giving us a powerful truth we can apply now, today!

Let me show you how. He said He is the beginning. So no matter what challenge or situation you may be facing right now, you need to start with Him. John 1:1 says Jesus is the Word. That means, if you’re going to start with Jesus, you’re going to start with the Word. Don’t do anything until you find out what the Word has to say about it.

Then, stay on the Word. As Colossians 1:23 says, “Continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard.”

Continue in the faith. The only way the devil can defeat you is to pressure you into throwing away the Word. Everything he does, every challenge he brings you is intended to make you doubt the Word of God. So don’t let go of the Word, no matter what may happen. Settle it with God in prayer and stay with it forever. It is written!

Then end with the Word. Jesus said He was the first and the last. That means the word of your doctor is not the last word. Even the word of your pastor is not the last word. The Word of Jesus is the last Word!

Remember this: You are now what the Word says you are. You can do what the Word says you can do. And you can have what the Word says you can have. Begin to believe that. Begin to say it out loud in faith.

Now shout the victory. Yes, now! You don’t have to wait to see the outcome to celebrate. You have Jesus’ Word on the matter, so you know beyond any doubt that your breakthrough is coming. Once you’ve settled yourself on Him, you can be assured that He will have the last word!

Topic: Use Your Time Wisely [Billy Graham’s Daily Tuesday January 30th, 2018]

For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away. — James 4:14

Nothing takes God by surprise. Everything is moving according to a plan, and God wants you in that plan. The devil also has a plan for the world. God has a plan and the devil has a plan, and you will have to decide which plan you are going to fit into. Scripture says that God allows us 70 years and some beyond.

The first 15 are spent in childhood and early adolescence. Twenty years are spent in bed, and in the last five, physical limitations start to curtail our activities. That gives us about 30 years in which to live as adults. We take time out for eating, and for figuring our taxes, and we are down to perhaps 15 years. Now suppose we spend seven of those years watching television. That cuts us down to seven or eight years. Our time is short! The time we can invest for God, in creative things, in reaching our fellowmen for Christ, is short!

Prayer for the day: Each hour of every day that is left of this earthly life, I would spend serving You, Lord Jesus. Forgive the time spent so often in needless endeavor.

Topic: Settling Our Doubts [Andrew Wommack’s Daily Tuesday January 30th, 2018]

John 1:46, “And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see.”

Text: John 1:43-51

Nathanael suffered from a skepticism that afflicts many people today.

However, it is to his credit that he came to the Lord and gave Him a chance to prove who He was.

We can only speculate what it was that Jesus saw Nathanael doing under that fig tree (v. 50), but it is very clear that it was something that proved beyond a doubt that Jesus was the Christ.

Jesus didn’t rebuke Nathanael for his doubts, instead he removed them. The Lord has an answer for every doubt that we have. We need to be without guile before the Lord as Nathanael was (v. 47) and come to Him when we are plagued with doubts instead of running from Him or avoiding Him.

Jesus knows our frame. He remembers that we are but dust (Ps. 103:14). It is not a sin to doubt, but it becomes sin if we harbor those doubts. We should do as Nathanael did and bring our doubts to the Lord. Let’s allow Him to deal with them.
