TREM’s Daily 16 January 2018 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – Leverage On Your New Creation Reality

Topic: Leverage On Your New Creation Reality [TREM’s Daily Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

“Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17 (KJV)

You see, as a believer, you must begin to leverage on your new creation reality. I have said it many times and it bears repetition that there are many things that define your life. It could be where you were educated, it could be the environment you live in, it could be your family background and these are all wonderful. Your psychological make-up as a human being could be melancholic or phlegmatic or the rest of them but you must leverage on the new creation reality. The Bible says if any man is in Christ, he is a brand-new species of being that has never existed before. You are a mystery to the world.

Christ in you is the hope of glory. The hope we are talking about here has no margin for failure and it is not subject to change. Whatever you read in the newspaper is subject to change. Whatever the government is saying about the economy is subject to change but the hope we talk about cannot fail. And when we talk of hope in the bible, it means a done deal. It also means a confident expectation. In other words, it is something that must happen.

So, as a believer you don’t hope for shame; because you are not called for shame. Consider these verses: For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestine to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover, whom he did predestined, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified (Romans 8:29, 30 KJV).

You are called for glory! As a new creation, you are operating on a higher dimension. A platform that has no margin for failure. You are limitless. Let them put barriers, roadblocks or speed breakers on your path, you will break through all of them. Every reproach and shame in your life is removed.

Seeds of Destiny 16 January 2018 by Pastor Paul Enenche: Being Sold Out To God

Topic: Being Sold Out To God [Seeds of Destiny Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

Scripture: So Abram departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran. Genesis 12:4.

Thought For The Day: God directs all the affairs of the dedicated.

Yesterday, we looked at what it means to be dedicated to God. We saw twelve different definitions of dedication. It is important you go through yesterday’s message again in order to have a full grasp of it. This is because a person is a product of his level of understanding. What a man knows is what he shows. To be dedicated to God, there is a need to know what dedication is all about.

Today, we shall explore one of the definitions of dedication, which is being sold out to God.

From our anchor passage, we understand that Abraham, by his action, was sold out to God. When God asked him to get out of his land, family and kindred to a land He would show him, he obeyed and went out, not knowing from the beginning, exactly where he was going. That was dedication.

Now, what does it mean to be sold out to God?

1. Being sold out to God means allowing God to have the ownership of your life in reality and in totality

It is not allowing your life to be controlled by yourself. Dedicated people do not own their lives, time, or resources. When a person says, ‘I own my life; I will live my life the way I want it. Don’t tell me what to do with my life’, it means such a person is not dedicated to God.

2. Being sold to God means allowing God to dictate the direction of your life.

When God dictates the direction of your life, you do not do things as you want; it means you are being sold out to God.

3. Being sold out to God means allowing God to have the final say over the issues of your life.

A person is not sold out to God when God does not have the final say over the issues of his or her life, work, marriage, business, etc.

4. Being sold out to God means sacrificing your personal agenda on the altar of consecration and relationship with God

This means, you only do what God wants you to do. You will not do what is not in God’s agenda for your life.

Remember This: God directs all the affairs of the dedicated.

Assignments:

1. Make up your mind to be sold out to God.

2. Let God dictate and direct the affairs and details of your life.

Prayer: O Lord, I ask for the grace to be sold out to You completely, in Jesus’ Name.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily January 16, 2018 Devotional: Jesus Can Set Them Free

Topic: Jesus Can Set Them Free [Kenneth and Gloria Copeland, Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give. – Matthew 10:7-8

There are those who’ve said that some of the diseases that are on the rampage right now, diseases such as AIDS, are God’s way of punishing immoral people today. There is absolutely no scriptural basis for that!

God does not bring disease on the human race. In fact, if there’s anyone in heaven and earth who hates it, it’s Jesus. The devil is the one who’s trying to tell us otherwise. He’s promoting a lie, trying to get us to believe God is the One who’s inflicting these diseases on people because he knows that if the victims believe that, it will drive them further from God than ever. And that’s his aim.

It’s time you and I as believers put a stop to that lie. Some time ago, the Lord spoke to my heart and told me so. He said, Reach out to those who are suffering. Let them know I didn’t do this to them. Let them know I’m their Deliverer!

That word was not just for me, it was for the whole Body of Christ. We need to tell people who’ve been afflicted with AIDS or any such disease that Jesus is Lord over it. We need to tell them that God loves them dearly, and He has the desire and the power to heal them.

God is not responsible for the suffering we’re seeing around us. That’s just a nasty lie the devil is passing around. And if you and I do our job right, very soon another word is going to start spreading through the streets. The news is going to get out that Jesus Christ is not their captor, He’s the One who can set them free!

Andrew Wommack’s Daily 16 January 2018 Devotional: Revelation Knowledge

Topic: Revelation Knowledge [Andrew Wommack’s Daily Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

Luke 2:26, “And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.”

Text: Luke 2:25-35

Simeon didn’t receive this knowledge through the normal method of learning. This knowledge was revealed to him directly from the Holy Spirit. This revelation knowledge which comes only from God is distinctly different than knowledge acquired through study. Man’s knowledge is based on observation. It cannot give perfect instruction about the future. God’s knowledge can. Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit we can know things to come (Jn. 16:13).

When dealing with God, revelation knowledge is essential. The Lord’s ways are not always our ways (Isa. 55:8). A fear of trusting the intuitive knowledge that God gives us will cause us to miss many blessings of God.

If he hadn’t received it and anticipated its fulfillment, what a blessing he would have missed! He would not have been led into the temple at exactly the right moment to see the salvation of the Lord.

We need to ask for and expect to receive revelation knowledge from the Lord. God desires to impart it more than we desire to receive it. Great blessings await those who will not depend solely on their own understanding (Prov. 3:5).

Billy Graham’s Daily 16 January 2018 Devotional: Rejoice in Him

Topic: Rejoice in Him [Billy Graham’s Daily Tuesday January 16th, 2018]

I will rejoice in the Lord, I will take joy in the God of my salvation. — Habakkuk 3:18

Christians are supposed to be happy persons! Our generation has become well versed in Christian terminology, but is remiss in the actual practice of Christ’s principles and teachings. Hence, our greatest need today is not more Christianity but more true Christians.

The world can argue against Christianity as an institution, but there is no convincing argument against a person who, through the Spirit of God, has been made Christlike. Such a person is a living rebuke to the selfishness, rationalism, and materialism of the day. Jesus said to the woman at Jacob’s well, “Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst.” This sin-sick, disillusioned woman was the symbol of the whole race. Her longings were our longings! Her heart-cry was our heart-cry! Her disillusionment was our disillusionment! Her sin was our sin! But her Savior can be our Savior! Her forgiveness can be our forgiveness! Her joy can be our joy!

Prayer for the day: My soul delights in You, my God, and my Redeemer.

Atheist Organization Complains about Biblical Posts on Sheriff Dept.’s Facebook Page

Atheist Organization Complains about Biblical Posts on Sheriff Dept.’s Facebook Page

A Louisiana sheriff’s office has removed biblical and Christian posts from its Facebook page following a complaint from the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

The Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office pulled posts that included biblical scripture and other Christian content after the Freedom From Religion Foundation complained.

FFRF staff attorney Andrew Seidel sent a letter to Sheriff Randy Seal in June 2017, saying that Seal was quoting Scripture in his official statements. Seidel said the office was also using the page to promote Christianity.

In June, the cover photo for the sheriff’s office Facebook page said, “Lord when I sit in the chair of leadership, please do not let it be said that the chair is still empty.”

In February 2017, the office posted on the account, “Around the world today Christians united to celebrate the sacrifice and resurrection of our Savior Jesus.”

Also in December 2016, a post said, “Many centuries ago, the Jewish Prophet Isaiah said, ‘For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace,’ (Isaiah 9:6 KJV). That prophecy was fulfilled hundreds of years later with the birth of Jesus, and it is His birth that we celebrate during this Christmas…

Indian Pastor is Severely Beaten for Refusing to Deny Christ

Indian Pastor is Severely Beaten for Refusing to Deny Christ

When Hindu extremists in India told pastor Karma Oraon they would not stop beating him until he worshipped the monkey god, he felt Christ close to him, he said.

“In those moments when they were kicking and beating me, I felt that even if I die now, the Lord will make the ministry I leave behind fruitful,” Pastor Oraon told Morning Star News. “We are just a few gathering in the name of Jesus. He is our strength.”

His small flock of eight people was meditating on Scripture on Christmas Eve at 10:30 a.m. in Harmu village of Ranchi District, Jharkhand state, when twice as many Hindu nationalists brandishing wooden stick intruded, shouting, “Praise Bajrang Bali.” Bajrang Bali is another name for the popular monkey god Hanuman.

“They forcefully dragged me outside when we were in the middle of meditating on the Word of God,” Pastor Oraon said. “They spewed many words in extreme foul language and beat me on my chest repeatedly.”

As he was dragged out by the collar, one of the Hindu extremists video-recorded the scene, also asking his accomplices to record, forward and circulate the video, sources said.

The Hindu extremists repeatedly asked the pastor his name, refusing to believe him, as his name is typical of area tribal people who practice indigenous religions, not Christianity, he said. They called him an idiot, slapped him and told him…
