California Supreme Court Stands with Planned Parenthood, Attorney General Plans to Prosecute Undercover Journalist for 15 Felonies

The California Supreme Court is denying a petition that would have stopped criminal prosecution against the undercover journalist who released controversial videos on the abortion industry.

David Daleiden, the pro-life activist and journalist, filed a Petition for Review on April 25, asking the California Supreme Court to overturn a previous ruling from the Superior Court of San Francisco County.

This week, the California Supreme Court refused to hear the petition.

“This decision to deny David Daleiden’s Petition for Review means that Xavier Becerra , as Planned Parenthood’s prosecutor-in-chief, will be able to continue his unconstitutional harassment of David, bringing charges against him that don’t pass the red face test,’” said Peter Breen, vice president and senior counsel at the Thomas More Society and part of Daleiden’s legal team.

Breen was referring to Xavier Becerra, the California attorney general who is pushing 15 counts of criminal felony for the videos.

“The right to privacy is a cornerstone of California’s Constitution, and a right that is foundational in a free democratic society,” Becerra said. “We will not tolerate the criminal recording of confidential conversations.”

In 2015, Daleiden’s pro-life group, the Center for Medical Progress, released undercover videos that…

‘Save Chick-fil-A Bill’ Passes Texas House, Banning Religious Discrimination

‘Save Chick-fil-A Bill’ Passes Texas House, Banning Religious Discrimination

A bill that would prevent the government from targeting Chick-fil-A and other businesses for their donations to religious organizations passed the Texas state House Monday and appears set to become law.

The bill, SB 1978, gained momentum in the legislature after San Antonio’s City Council voted 6-4 in March to exclude Chick-fil-A from the airport, in part due to the company’s donations to the Salvation Army and Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as Christian Headlines previously reported. The website Think Progress claimed the organizations had a history of “anti-LGBT discrimination.”

The bill would prevent such a scenario.

“A governmental entity may not take any adverse action against any person based wholly or partly on the person’s membership in, affiliation with, or contribution, donation, or other support provided to a religious organization,” the bill’s text says.

It passed the House, 79-62, and needs to clear only minor hurdles before it is sent to the desk of Republican Gov. Greg Abbott. Republicans control both chambers.

“What we want to make sure is if you donate to the Salvation Army, you won’t be labeled as a bigoted,” said GOP Rep. Matt Krause, the bill’s sponsor, according toThe Dallas Morning News.

Democratic Rep. Mary Gonzalez, an openly LGBT member, urged her colleagues to oppose the bill.

“We…

Alyssa Milano’s Stance on Abortion ‘Reveals Ignorance, Racism,’ NFL Player Benjamin Watson Says

Alyssa Milano’s Stance on Abortion ‘Reveals Ignorance, Racism,’ NFL Player Benjamin Watson Says

NFL player Benjamin Watson clapped back at Alyssa Milano after she argued that women of color would be hurt by abortion bans and restrictions.

Milano appeared on CNN last week where she talked to Chris Cuomo about her call for a “sex strike.” Milano argued that all women should abstain from sex until such a time that they regain the ‘right’ to have an abortion. The actress pointed to privilege when talking about recent pro-life legislation passed in Georgia, Alabama, Ohio, etc. saying that “women of privilege” will not be affected by the abortion restrictions in the same way as women of color.

Milano told Cuomo “I feel like any woman of privilege that lives in one of these states — if this goes through — they’re gonna be able to travel to a state to get a safe reproductive health care.”

She continued, “But for the women of color, for the women that are marginalized, for the women that are low-income communities, for the women that are most at-risk, this bill will be catastrophic.”

Milano’s comment sparked…

Pennsylvania ‘Bully Rep.’ Apologizes for Being a ‘Distraction’ to Planned Parenthood

Pennsylvania ‘Bully Rep.’ Apologizes for Being a ‘Distraction’ to Planned Parenthood

The Pennsylvania Democratic representative who harassed pro-lifers outside an abortion clinic and sparked a backlash within the pro-life community is apologizing to Planned Parenthood supporters.

“I’m sorry to have created this distraction,” State Rep. Brian Sims writes in a Planned Parenthood fundraising email.

The email was first reported by Salena Zito, a reporter for the New York Post and a CNN columnist.

Sims posted a video in early May showing him harassing and chasing a pro-life woman up and down a sidewalk in front of a Philadelphia Planned Parenthood. He claimed she had no “moral right” to be there. He also called her an “old white lady” four times. Earlier, he had posted a video showing him berating pro-life teenage girls in front of the same clinic. In both videos, he asked the audience to help him find the names and addresses of the pro-life protesters.

The videos ignited a backlash and led to a pro-life rally in front of the same clinic attended by some 1,000 people, Christian Headlines previously reported

Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider.

“If you saw any of the national coverage of my actions throughout the last 10 days, I wanted to send an apology,” Sims writes in the email. “I recognize that my behavior was aggressive and that I acted in an inappropriate way. For…
