THE MESSAGE:
The expression “Children of promise” describes those who are truly bam of God. Our passage today used the sons of Abraham: Isaac and Ishmael, to drive home the difference between those living in the flesh and those living in Spirit. Hence, a child of promise is born, not by the will of the flesh, nor by the will of man, but of God. (John 1:13). Children of promise are descendants of Abraham like Isaac, not through birth, but rebirth; not by law, but by promise; not by works, but by faith. You are a candidate of heaven as a child of promise and must manifest the power of God here on earth.
Children of promise face persecution.
The children of the bondwoman will always persecute the children of promise. They do not understand the children of promise and always see them as a threat. The big question you will have to answer is “Are you among the children of the bondwoman or among the children of promise? If not of promise, then bow your head and invite Jesus into your life now. Pray this simple prayer – “Lord Jesus I invite you into my life to be Lord and my personal saviour. I receive the grace to serve you for the rest of my life. Amen! Congratulations!
Prayer: O Lord Jesus, please, help me to remain faithful to you as your child of promise despite the persecutions and trials. Amen.

MESSAGE:
The market places in our various communities are a beehive of activities mainly connected with buying and selling. However, the whole crowd do not go into the market to buy the same product. Each individual focuses on what he is in the market to procure. The church is also a place of worship where people gather but it is clear that some people come there for various reasons other than seeking for salvation. The story was told recently of a young man caught in the house of God stealing from people’s bags when praying with eyes closed. The young man came to the church certainly not for a godly purpose of seeking spiritual edification but to steal. Some others do not come to steal but are only passionate about receiving miracles, prosperity, deliverance, spouse, etc.
The text reveals Christ’s encounter with a crowd which came to one of his public ministrations. He could see right into them and therefore wasted no time in rebuking them for seeking Him for the wrong motives. The allusion to the people of Niveneh was to point their attention to the demand of God from them “… for they repented at the preaching of Jonas…”
The church is not a center for entertainment, neither is it a place of commerce as many have turned it. We must understand that seeking for miracles, prosperity, breakthrough, deliverance and so on are not wrong. But to seek for them to the exclusion of the salvation of one’s soul is disastrous. Those who go to church just to admire the pastor’s message, seek for position or wife/husband or to enjoy the service are no doubts lost in the crowd.
The only way to project Christ to the world is to shine the light through our godly living in the world.

The challenge is that many people carry the Bible but do not know what the Bible carries. If everyone will understand the Bible, they cannot remain at the same level.
Now, what are some of the contents of the Word of God?
1. The Word of God is Food for the Human Spirit (Luke 4:4)
What physical food does in a person’s life is what the Word does to a person. Spiritual energy and vitality are supplied by the Word. It is the Word of God that determines the buoyancy of the spirit of man. Every time people begin to lack the Word, they become spiritually malnourished. Their immunity becomes very low and, therefore, they lack capacity to fight spiritual afflictions. He cannot withstand spiritual tension, opposition or temptation. A wordless Christian is a weak Christian.
2. The Word of God is a Blessing Container and a Blessing Channel (Joshua 1:8).
A contact with the Word of God brings a person into contact with the Blessing. There is blessedness in reading, meditating on, and getting insight and revelation from the Word (Joshua 1:8). The more you read the Bible, the more you step into new realms of the Blessing.
Now, the Blessing is necessary because the Blessing is the cure for the curse – be it family, occultic or generational curse. The Blessing brings empowerment unto success and establishes a person in an enviable position. You cannot be a candidate for pity when the Blessing of God is upon your life.
REMEMBER THIS: A contact with the Word of God brings a person into contact with the Blessing.
ASSIGNMENTS:
Read and study the Word of God diligently and persistently.
Let the Word of God be your guide in your daily activities.

MESSAGE:
There is nothing that cheapens a man like fornication; there is nothing that destroys the destiny of a man, family, community or nation like sin. Proverbs 14:34 says sin comes with reproach. If you observe a decline in your grades or see that you have suddenly become an item of manipulation in the hands of men, check your spiritual state. It might be that you have dabbled into sin.
Proverbs 6:26 says: “For by means of a whorish woman a man is brought to a piece of bread: and the adulteress will hunt for the precious life.”
This is what fornication does. It takes away a person’s worth and turns him/her into a mere commodity. Fornication is very deadly, in fact, nothing kills faster than fornication. Stay as far away from it as you can. The Bible says you should flee from every appearance of evil. This means that even if it just looks like fornication, run from it, don’t wait to confirm if it is really a sin, run! Be wise.
Key Point: When you are in the right standing with God, you have everything under your feet.

Open Heaven 11 May 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:
When you have revelation of what heaven looks like, you will realize that no other experience can be more pleasant. The Holy Spirit makes it clear that it is indeed possible for us to experience the days of heaven on earth (Deuteronomy 11:21). When Jesus was here on earth, the disciples were actually experiencing heaven on earth. No wonder the Lord said to them in Luke 17:22b:
“The days will come, when ye shall desire to see one of the days of the Son of man, and ye shall not see it.”
If you therefore want to understand what heaven on earth looks like, take a look at the life of Jesus here on earth and the experiences His disciples had at that time.
Heaven is a place where God is enthroned supremely and His will is done completely (Acts 7:49, Matthew 6:10). Experiencing heaven on earth therefore implies enthroning God’s kingdom here on earth and establishing His will over all situations. What is God’s will for man and how can it be established? According to Genesis 1:26, the will of God for man is dominion. The devil stole man’s dominion and became the prince of this world after he lured man into sin. This why he claims ownership of the kingdom of this world (John 14:30, Luke 4:6). The devil held sway until Jesus came to overthrow his illegitimate rule (Luke 4:18-19). For this reason, our Lord instructs us to pray that the kingdom of God should come. When God’s kingdom comes upon an individual’s life, there will be restoration of dominion and prosperity in the body, soul and spirit. There cannot be sickness in any body that exists in the kingdom of Jehovah-Rapha. There cannot be death in the kingdom of the Immortal God. Where the kingdom of Jehovah-Nissi holds sway, there can be no defeat or loss of power. Poverty cannot arise where Jehovah-Jireh, the El-Shaddai, reigns.
In today’s Bible reading, the people of Lystra, who did not know God, experienced heaven on earth. They even thought Paul and Barnabas were gods! When you experience heaven on earth in your life, you will also become a wonder. You can experience heaven on the earth if you enthrone God a king over your life by becoming born again. When you do this, Jesus will put an end to the kingdom of the devil that has hitherto dominated your life. When He reigns in your life, sin and all forms of calamity will be overthrown. As a child of God, to what extent have you allowed the principles of God’s kingdom to rule your life? Are there some “reserved areas” you would not want to cede over to God? Give God everything today, and let Him rule over your life completely.

SERVICE OBJECTIVE: Understanding the relationship between the Blessing of God and the top position in life
It is clear throughout Scripture that the Blessing of God is a vehicle that takes people to the top positions of life and destiny.
The Blessing of God transforms nonentities into celebrities.
The Blessing of God turns victims to victors and captives into captains.
The Blessing of God turns destitutes to dignitaries and paupers into princes.
The Blessing of God produces outstanding stars out of ordinary men. Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Job, and David were ordinary men that became outstanding stars by virtue of the Blessing of God. It is when people don’t study history that they end up in misery.
The Blessing has the capacity to take people up.
HOW THE BLESSING OF GOD TAKES PEOPLE UP:
The Blessing of God establishes the Presence of God in the life of the Blessed and the Presence of God destroys limitations and creates access (Gen. 15:1; 17:1; 35:5; 39:2, 21)
The Blessing of God establishes the favour of God around the life of the Blessed and when you carry favour you access influence (Ps. 5:12; Deut. 33:23; Esth. 2:15; Acts 7:10)
The Blessing of God establishes the wisdom of God in the life of the Blessed, and the wisdom grants
you stardom (Dan. 2:20; Gen. 41:39; Eccl. 8:1; Prov. 8:15)
When you are blessed, unusual ideas that are not normal, breakthrough ideas that can generate billions are released to you
When you are blessed, God can give you a solution that will revolutionalise your nation and put you in position
The Blessing of God triggers the release of potentials from the life of the Blessed, and your potentials are the secret of your lifting and opportunities (Gen. 1:28; 9:1; 41:15-16; Prov. 18:16; 1Sam. 16:17-18,21)
When you are blessed, your giftings and talents are released
Back spirituality with potentiality and it will grant you opportunity
When God opens a door for you, what people are looking for is what you carry
The Blessing of God facilitates supernatural speed in the life of the Blessed, and speed grants you impact and exploits (Gen. 26:12-13)

Pro-Life Activists Rally in Philadelphia after Rep. Brian Sims Harasses Teens and Elderly Woman Praying Outside of Planned Parenthood
Major pro-life activists gathered together outside of a Philadelphia abortion clinic Friday morning after videos went viral of Pennsylvania state representative Brian Sims harassing pro-life teenagers and women praying outside of a Planned Parenthood.
CBN News reports that the rally – which was put together by pro-life activists Abby Johnson, Graham Allen, Lila Rose and Matt Walsh – welcomed hundreds of protesters to the sidewalk of the Planned Parenthood seen in the videos.
Lila Rose – the founder and CEO of pro-life organization Live Action – opened the rally by calling for the protection of human lives and the resignation of Representative Sims.
She said, “We are here because we love life. Because we believe in the dignity and the right to live for every human being. Because we love and we respect every human life. And because the pro-life community will not back down to any harassment or bullying or hate.”
She continued, “We will not back down. We will stand up, and we will stand up with love and we will stand up because we know that we believe in the beauty and dignity of every life.”
Rose went on to call for Sims’ resignation noting that the behavior he demonstrated in the videos was unacceptable for anyone, let alone someone in an elected position.
Porn Is a ‘Public Health Crisis’ that Can Spark Crime, Arizona Legislature Says
The Arizona Senate this week passed a resolution calling pornography a “public health crisis,” two months after the state House approved the same text.
The resolution passed the Senate 16-13 and says porn “perpetuates a sexually toxic environment that damages all areas of our society.” It passed the House, 32-28, in February.
Pornography, the resolution says, can lead to crime.
“Pornography normalizes violence and the abuse of women and children by treating them as objects, increasing the demand for sex trafficking, prostitution and child pornography,” the resolution says.
It further says the use of pornography has an “adverse effect on the family as it is correlated with decreased desire in young men to marry, dissatisfaction in marriage and infidelity.”
Children, the resolution says, are harmed, too.
“Due to the advances in technology and the universal availability of the internet, children are being exposed to pornography at an alarming rate, leading to low self-esteem, eating disorders and an increase in problematic sexual activity at ever-younger ages.”
Pornography, the resolution says, teaches children “that women are commodities for the viewer’s use.”

The recreated human spirit produces endless joy. Thus, it’s easy for every and any Christian to be happy, by simply choosing to be.
Someone who’s not happy about himself can’t make anyone else happy. It’s one of the ways you know people who are frustrated; they tend to pass it on. Don’t live that way. You have a responsibility, and a serious one at that, to make yourself happy, especially if you’re a leader at any capacity. God expects that you’ll give those under you godly examples. So, exude joy. Be happy. Under such an atmosphere of joy and gladness, a lot more can be accomplished.
The Spirit of God does more for and with us in an atmosphere of joy and happiness. The reverse is also true: Satan has a field day in the lives and environment of people who are moody and sad. Demons attach themselves to people to make them restless, confused, sad and depressed. This is why you must never give in to sadness or depression. Instead, allow the joy of the Lord well up in your heart. It’s something you do consciously.
When the squeeze is on, and things don’t seem to be working out as expected, laugh. Stir up joy from within. That’s the joy that lasts. When you stir up joy from your spirit like that, before long, irrespective of the daunting challenges, you’d find that there’s an unusual calmness in your spirit. The peace of God that surpasses all understanding will garrison your heart and mind in the Lord (Philippians 4:7).
You can be full of joy twenty-four hours a day, and you should. It’s God’s will for your life. In John 15:11, Jesus said, “These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.” He’s given you joy that isn’t dependent on the happenings around you; joy that flows from your spirit and rubs off on everything else around you. Activate that joy today, through the Word and the Holy Spirit.
When things get tough, instead of wondering what to do and what the problem is, declare, “I refuse to be confused, depressed, or restless! I have the victory, because the greater One lives in me! His joy is my strength and I prevail gloriously in His Name.” Hallelujah! Remember, “…with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation” (Isaiah 12:3).
PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for giving me such a beautiful, extraordinary, exciting, fulfilling, exceptional and excellent life; a glorious life that radiates joy, excellence and peace. Irrespective of contrary circumstances, your beauty, glory, grace and righteousness are seen and manifested in me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
