The anointing changes your destiny into a glorious and beautiful identity.

SCRIPTURE: And for Aaron’s sons thou shalt make coats, and thou shalt make for them girdles, and bonnets shalt thou make for them, for glory and for beauty. Exodus 28:40-41.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The anointing changes your destiny into a glorious and beautiful identity.

The anointing of God is the evident Presence of God. The Presence of God with a person is the anointing. That is why anointed men and women are carriers of the Presence of God.

It is clear from Scripture that to be anointed of God is to be favoured of God (Exodus 28:40-41). There is an unusual dimension of favour that the anointing carries. There is a natural, effortless, struggle-free favour that anointed people enjoy even from those who do not know or like them. There is something about anointed people that opens doors. Others beg for opportunities but opportunities beg for the anointed.

Favour is natural for the anointed. The anointing transforms a person into a magnetic personality; resources, persons and opportunities are magnetized. Favour is not meant for only pastors or titled men of God but for everyone who is a child of God and carries the Oil of God on his/her head.

Now, how does the anointing of God attract favour to the anointed?

i. The anointing makes the anointed to exist as a magnetic personality. The anointing of God magnetizes the right resources, persons and opportunities into your life.

ii. The anointing is the mystery behind supernatural open doors.

iii. The anointing is responsible for the supernatural suspension of protocols.

Beloved, to value the Presence of God (the anointing) is to attract favour. The Presence of God (the anointing) will give you the favour that money cannot buy.

I prophesy to you today that by the anointing of God, favour and opportunities have become your portion in life, in Jesus’ Name.

REMEMBER THIS: The anointing changes your destiny into a glorious and beautiful identity.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Seek the Presence of God above every other thing in life.
  2. Spend time in the word, worship and prayer habitually to connect His presence.

PRAYER: O Lord, lay Your Hands on me. Anoint me with fresh Oil and let me experience favour and opportunities beyond human comprehension, Lord in Jesus Name.

QUOTE: The closer you get to God, the more secured your life will be. The farther you get from God, the more vulnerable your life and destiny will be.

TOPIC: Satan, You Cannot Hinder Me! (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 20 April 2019)

BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: 2 Samuel 9-11; Luke 15:11-32

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 2:13-18

MEMORY VERSE: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” – Philippians 4:13

The MESSAGE:

Here we see Apostle Paul and his fellow evangelist who had a very strong intention to visit the Thessalonians. In Verse 17, Paul said, “With great desire, we long to see your face.” They tried very hard to come to their place, in order to have fellowship together and encourage them in the word of God but satan hindered them.

One of the terrible weapons satan had used very well, which he is still using to limit, frustrate and waste people’s time and life is hindrance. Satan has hindered many believers from possessing their possessions. Expectations of many people were high in getting what would have transformed the totality of their lives, but the enemy did not allow it. Doors of opportunity were opened to many believers but the enemy did not allow them to enter.

In the book of 1 Corinthians 16:9 –Apostle Paul said that a great door and effectual was opened to him, and there were many adversaries. The adversaries Apostle Paul was talking about here were not just there, they were there to hinder him.

Beloved, the fact remains that whatsoever will be glorious will be challenged by the enemy. Whatsoever that will populate the kingdom of God and depopulate the kingdom of darkness will be hindered by satan. But through the word of God, through the blood of Jesus, aggressive prayers, holiness within and without, strong faith and having deep confidence in the Lord, satanic hindrances can be subdued and conquered.

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
A DETERMINED SOUL CAN ONLY BE HINDERED FOR A WHILE.

PROPHETIC WORD:
Every power hindering your progress shall die.

PRAYER POINTS:

MORNING

  1. I refuse to follow evil prescription, in the name of Jesus.
  2. Let the path of the enemy into life be permanently closed, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Every power of darkness hunting for my life, be roasted, in the name of Jesus.
    EVENING
  4. All pursuers in my dreams, begin to pursue yourselves, in the name of Jesus.
  5. I paralyse all night caterers and I forbid their food in my dream, in the name of Jesus.
  6. Evil bands, release me, in the name of Jesus.
  7. I remove myself from every satanic bus stop, in the name of Jesus.

DCLM Daily Manna 20 April 2019 – Unfailing Affection

Topic: Unfailing Affection [DCLM Daily Manna 20 April 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: John 18:1-14 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Jesus answered, I have told you that I am he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: That the saying might be fulfilled, which he spake, Of them which thou gavest me have I lost none” (John 18:8,9).

MESSAGE:

It is difficult for many people to grasp God’s love. For them they started the journey of their lives in the wrong way, the relied on themselves. Thus, they question how God could really love them since they do not deserve His love. What can liberate such people is the realisation that God’s love for them does not begin with them, but begins with Him. He loves us because it is His nature and character to love us not in our own worthiness (1 John 4:8).

Such understanding will help us to appreciate the affection Christ had for His disciples and by extension for the entire human race. Our Lord protected the disciples, even when His own life was in serious jeopardy (John 13:1).

From Matthew’s account of what happened at the garden, the disciples disappointed the expectation of our Lord Jesus because they were found sleeping when they were expected to be watching and praying. Yet He was there at the time when it mattered most – to secure them against the external aggression that could have swallowed them.

Christ died and made Himself a ransom for the sins of the world. Because of His love for us, we have every reason to be filled with hope, feel secure, expect His help and blessings, enjoy salvation and abundant life, live a life of love, become more like Him, live a life of victory over sin and evil, enjoy His presence and be filled with joy and encouragement. To enjoy His love, a sinner must come out of the world by repenting and forsaking his or her sin. Remaining in sin, denies you of His care and affection.

Thought For The Day: Jesus loves at all times.

Topic: Under Authority [Open Heavens for Teens 20 April 2019]

Memorise: “Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.” – Luke 7:7

Read: Luke 7:1-10

1 Now when he had ended all his sayings in the audience of the people, he entered into Capernaum.

2 And a certain centurion’s servant, who was dear unto him, was sick, and ready to die.

3 And when he heard of Jesus, he sent unto him the elders of the Jews, beseeching him that he would come and heal his servant.

4 And when they came to Jesus, they besought him instantly, saying, That he was worthy for whom he should do this:

5 For he loveth our nation, and he hath built us a synagogue.

6 Then Jesus went with them. And when he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying unto him, Lord, trouble not thyself: for I am not worthy that thou shouldest enter under my roof:

7 Wherefore neither thought I myself worthy to come unto thee: but say in a word, and my servant shall be healed.

8 For I also am a man set under authority, having under me soldiers, and I say unto one, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it.

9 When Jesus heard these things, he marvelled at him, and turned him about, and said unto the people that followed him, I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.

10 And they that were sent, returning to the house, found the servant whole that had been sick.

Bible In One Year: 1 Samuel 30-31, Luke 17:20-37

MESSAGE:

One person who under stood authority and order is the Centurion in Luke 7. From the encounter he had with Jesus, it is glaring that what you know will determine the extent you can go(you can read that again). You can never grow above your knowledge. However, many people have knowledge, but they never apply it. The knowledge that is not applied is useless to the one that has it. To what extent have you applied your knowledge of God’s word in your life? Seek knowledge and apply the knowledge.

Also, that link of authority between the Father and Jesus extends to us. That is, when you command demons, sicknesses and problems and they obey, it is not because of your power or anything, it is because of the authority that you have in Jesus. This is why you must do all you can to keep the link you have with God intact.

The authority you have in Him affords you everything you will ever need or want. To be under someone’s authority means that you obey his every command. Are you under God’s authority?

Action Point: It takes you being under God’s authority to operate by His authority.

Hymn: 2

1 When we walk with the Lord in the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way!
While we do His good will,
He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.

Chorus:
Trust and obey, for there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus, but to trust and obey.

2. Not a shadow can rise, not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
Not a doubt or a fear, not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.

2. Not a burden we bear, not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
Not a grief or a loss, not a frown or a cross,
But is blessed if we trust and obey.

3. But we never can prove the delights of His love
Until all on the altar we lay;
For the favor He shows, for the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.

4. Then in fellowship sweet we will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
What He says we will do, where He sends we will go;
Never fear, only trust and obey.

Open Heaven 20 April 2019 – The Great Avenger

Topic: The Great Avenger (Open Heaven 20 April 2019)

Memorise: “It is God that avengeth me, and subdueth the people under me.”- Psalm 18:47

Read: Luke 18:1-8 (KJV)

1 And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man:

3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary.

4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man;

5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.

6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.

7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Bible in One Year: Genesis 21-23, Jeremiah 21:11-22:12

Open Heaven 20 April 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:

“Avenge”, “retribution” and “recompense” are words commonly used in the Bible to mean inflicting deserved or justified punishment on a wrongdoer, either by God Himself or by an authority ordained by Him. In contrast to these, vengeance (i.e to revenge) is malicious retaliation against a perceived or real offence committed by someone or a group of people. It involves the reciprocation of an injury or insult by an aggrieved person. Whenever evil is deliberately committed against someone, the immediate human instinct is to take revenge, especially if the victim is capable of inflicting a corresponding injury on the offender. However, the lifestyle of God’s kingdom teaches that it is wrong to strike back or return evil for evil, whether by immediate retaliation or deferred action of vengeance. As citizens of heaven, we must learn to leave such matters in the hands of the Great Avenger, because the Bible insist that revenge is unacceptable to God (Proverbs 24:29, Romans 12:19).

God’s word offers us some definitive ways of dealing with the carnal desires for vengeance. First of all, we are advised to be slow to anger, because anger is at the root of every drive for revenge. We are to thoughtfully respond to situations that can lead to anger after hearing from the Holy Spirit, who resides in us (Ecclesiastes 7:9). We should also desist from plotting revenge in response to any wrongdoing committed against us. The Almighty God wants us to see vengeance as His exclusive responsibility (Romans 12:19). He also wants us to renounce anger and put it away from our minds completely (Psalm 37:8, Ephesians 4:31). May the Prince of peace send His peace like a river into your life to quench every fire of anger before it graduates into vengeance in Jesus’ Name.

Leaving matters in the hands of God and waiting for His judgment are acts of faith that demonstrates trust in God rather than human ability. That’s why children of God must not consider taking revenge or repaying evil with evil; rather, we must wait for the Lord in all situations. Persecuted and oppressed Christians must never rely on what human strength can do for them. Instead, they must pray earnestly with total reliance on the word of God, as seen in Psalm 94:1-2 and Lamentations 3:64-66. I decree that the Great Avenger will rise on your behalf today and render recompense to those who have oppressed you. God will judge your persecutors according to the work of their hands, and He will give them sorrow of heart until they are completely destroyed in Jesus’ Name. God will not rest until He has avenged you of all your enemies in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 20 April 2019 Saturday Prayer Point:

Father, according to Your word in 2 Thessalonians 1:6, please reward my enemies with tribulation in Jesus’ Name.

Topic: He’s Your Ransom

And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:18).

The underlined portion of the scripture above shows that it was God who took the responsibility of reconciling us to Himself. He was the one behind all that Jesus Christ accomplished for us. Actually, He was the one doing it. We see that in 2 Corinthians 5:19; it says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself….”

It isn’t just that God loved us so much and sent Jesus, but that He was actually doing everything that had to do with man’s salvation by Himself. He was in Christ, reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them. Hallelujah! He took the responsibility, and paid the full penalty for all your sins; He’s not mad at you at all.

Even if you got into trouble for something that you did wrong, He’s obligated to saving you, to helping you out of any trouble, for one reason: because you have a ransom in Christ Jesus!

This is why the birth of Jesus means so much to us; He was born to live, die, and give His life as a ransom for many: “For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many” (Mark 10:45).

The Bible says He chose us in Him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and without blame before him in love (Ephesians 1:4). You’re holy and without blame before the Father, because Christ is your ransom! He took responsibility for your sins. This is the message of the Gospel!

No wonder He calls us His righteous ones; His justified ones; meaning that we can’t be charged with sin, because not only are we righteous, we have also become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

PRAYER
Dear loving Father, thank you for expressing your love through the sacrifice of Jesus in my behalf, by which I’m presented to you faultless, holy, and unblameable. Blessed be your Name forever!

Seven Symptoms of a Dying Church

Podcast Episode #529

SUBSCRIBE:
iTunesRSSStitcherTuneIn RadioGoogle Play • iHeart Radio • Spotify

Dying churches often exhibit symptoms of dying along the way. Today we cover seven of these symptoms and how to combat them.

Some highlights from today’s episode include:

  • When a church is in “fight mode, it is inwardly focused and likely not reaching people for Christ.
  • Meetings always seem to fill the time slot you give for them. Don’t give them more time than is actually needed to cover the business at hand.
  • There is usually to be plenty of blame being thrown around in dying churches.
  • Church vernacular can be off-putting to guests. It’s like hearing people speak in a foreign language.

The seven symptoms that we discuss are:

  1. Continuous battles
  2. Numerical declines of three or more years
  3. Rooms as idols
  4. Memorials and plaques
  5. Prolonged meetings
  6. Deflection of blame
  7. Methodological stability

Gay comedian Stephen K Amos was prepared to challenge Pope over homosexuality

Gearing up to meet the pontiff in the Vatican, non-believer Amos was prepared to challenge the head of the Catholic Church over its doctrines.

Amos grew up in a believing household but has never felt the need for organised faith, which made him feel like he did not belong either in a religious community, or in a potential afterlife.

The stand-up star was given an audience with Francis and braced himself for dismissive answers from the papal leader, who he believes is a progressive exception to the religious rule.

But Amos has said his meeting with Francis was life-changing and has given him “faith in human beings”.

Francis told Amos that all humans have dignity and too much attention is paid to defining adjectives such as “gay”.

The comedian said the words of tolerance from the pontiff during his secular epiphany provide a lesson for millions, and bring about a greater religious acceptance of homosexuality.

He met the religious leader as part of the BBC series Pilgrimage: The Road To Rome, which follows a group of UK celebrities travelling an ancient route from Canterbury to the seat of the Catholic Church.

Amos told the Press Association: “If he had said, to my face, ‘you’re not going to be accepted into the promised land’ et cetera, I would not have sat there and just gone ‘thanks for that’, and walked away.

“I would have asked questions, I would have gotten into…

The Mueller report, Columbine, and forgiveness: What Good Friday means today

The long-awaited Mueller report was released to the public yesterday.

The reaction has been as partisan as we would expect. The president’s supporters and his critics are both using the report to claim vindication for their positions. Analysts are already speculating on ways the parties will use it in the 2020 election cycle.

We should not be surprised by this polarized response. Our culture has jettisoned absolute truth and objective morality, claiming tolerance for all viewpoints as our highest value. But this goes only halfway: many demand that we tolerate their views but feel no obligation to tolerate ours.

Years ago, a wise friend explained to me the three steps of political success: (1) convince people they have an enemy; (2) convince them that they cannot defeat their enemy; (3) convince them that I will defeat their enemy if they vote for me (or give me money, or do whatever I want them to do).

In our zero-sum, for-me-to-win-you-must-lose culture, is there a better way forward?

“Columbine” is now a category

The twentieth anniversary of the Columbine massacre is this Sunday.

On the morning of April 20, 1999, two teenagers began shooting fellow students outside Columbine High School in suburban Denver. They killed twelve students and a teacher and wounded twenty others before killing themselves.

Tragically, “Columbine” has become not just a name or an event but a category.

According to the Washington Post, 226,000 students have been exposed to gun violence at school since the Columbine shooting. At least 143 children, educators, and others have been killed in assaults, and another 294 have been injured.

The threat to our students is clearly not over. More than 130 schools across Denver closed Wednesday as authorities searched for a woman reportedly obsessed with the Columbine massacre and deemed a “credible threat to the community.” She was later found dead of an apparent self-inflicted…
