Fast Facts: Trinity Missionary Baptist Church was organized by a group of baptized believers in 1945. In 1946 the church was able to purchase land in Oxnard, CA and built a permanent structure which was completed in 1962. In 2010 under the leadership of Pastor Speights, the church membership agreed to change its name to New Trinity Community Baptist Church, and later adopted the name New Trinity Community Church. At New Trinity, they are “Focused Forward in Faith.” In July 2019 NTCC will celebrate its 74th church anniversary. Then in August, their Kingdom Connection outreach will host its 2nd health and education fair. The church is also beginning a monthly ministry to aid in legal assistance, financial literacy, social economic retention, and healthy living. A peer proposing a change to the law which would make it illegal for anyone to publicly name an arrested person has met opposition in the House of Lords from a Government minister.
Lib Dem Home Affairs spokesman Lord Paddick of Brixton wants police to be able to arrest people without releasing names to the public.
But speaking in the second reading of the Anonymity (Arrested Persons) Bill in the Lords, Home Office Minister Baroness Williams of Trafford refused to back the Bill.
She said: “Restricting the freedom of the Press is a serious matter and we are not yet persuaded that legislating in this instance would be a necessary or proportionate response to the perceived problems.
“We do recognise the importance of debating these issues and we will keep the position under review.”
Lord Paddick claimed people like Sir Cliff (pictured below) had their reputations ruined when allegations of historic child abuse made by four men were publicised, although he was neither arrested nor charged.
He said his Bill would make it illegal for those arrested to be named by anyone and journalists would have to seek approval from a judge to release names in the public interest, such as to encourage potential rape victims to come forward.

The letter is being circulated by lawyers at the Christian Legal Centre who have been supporting Oluwole Ilesanmi since his brief detention last weekend.
Addressed to Home Secretary Sajid Javid, the note says: “It’s not the first time a Christian street preacher has been wrongly arrested in the UK.
“Christian street preachers should be free to share the gospel, even where it means challenging the beliefs of others.”
The campaign demands an urgent review to ensure police are properly trained to “act within the law” in their dealings with street preachers.
The CLC, which is part of the Christian Concern campaign group, insists evangelists should be free to share the Gospel.

Paul Pattison from English Heritage said: “The evidence of a Christian house-church in Lullingstone villa – and actual place of worship – is a unique discovery in Roman Britain and the wall-paintings depicting worshippers are of international importance.
“This is among the earliest and certainly the most compelling evidence for Christianity in Britain.”
Experts believe the villa was built in approximately 100 AD before being abandoned in the fifth century. This year marks 70 years since excavation work at the site began.

Dear Reader,
You are welcome to this week’s teaching on Family life. So far, I started by examining how obedience will enable you to have dominion. I tried to explain how you can live peacefully with your family members and others. I equally examined how you can enjoy rest in your family. Today, I shall be talking about Family Friend.
It is impossible to amount to anything outside the company you keep. You cannot expect to live a better life than your companions if they are truly your friends. This explains why the Bible says: He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed(Proverbs 13:20). A friend is someone with whom you and your family relate intimately. He is someone you identify with, share common experience with and bare your mind to. This simple definition of a friend shows that not everybody is a friend. That is why you need to always use the Word of God in selecting who should be your friend.
The one who keeps company with wise men is the one who will be wise, but the companions of fools will not only be foolish but will ultimately be destroyed. Also, the friend of the unrighteous will ultimately become unrighteous to the detriment of his family. One thing some Christians fail to understand is that one cannot flow together with every believer, simply because the person calls himself your family friend. God wants you to succeed and be in charge (dominate) in your family life, but it is your responsibility to watch the company you keep and only choose friends with the right character. The reason for failure of most marriages and families today is character crisis. That will not be your portion, in Jesus’ name!
You cannot be a Christian while your family friend is an unbeliever, an adulterer, a smoker, drunkard, gossip or backbiter. What companionship are you forming with an unbeliever? Anyone who is lacking in Christian character should never be your family friend. You must obey the command in 2 Thessalonians 3:6, which says: …that ye withdraw yourselves from every brother that walketh disorderly…. Many people call themselves family friends, but they have not disciplined themselves to refrain from certain habits. I believe that the choice of your family friend does not only affect the future of your family, but it could also determine the success (dominion) or failure of your marriage. Hence, your family’s vision or goal in life should determine your choice of family friends.
As a man or woman who desires a right family, you must make up your mind to dissociate yourself from every friend that thinks or talks contrary to God’s Word. The Bible says: Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people (Proverbs 13:34). This simply means that righteousness or right standing with God will bring about dominion. Therefore, for your family to enjoy dominion, it must have a right standing with God. You cannot have a right standing with God by keeping friends who do not have regard for your God. The type of company you keep will either make you or break your family. It was a friend that made Amnon, David’s son, to commit incest (2 Samuel 13:1-4). He later paid for the wrong company he kept with his life. Choose your friends wisely!
Today, most couples, who find themselves in all forms of evil got into them via wrong company. One major reason why couples are enticed to join wrong company is because they are not bold enough to identify with the Lord Jesus Christ. Let people know your stand for God. Go to church together, pray together, and engage in God’s programmes together. Have a good family friend and your marital life will be molded.
May God bring you in contact with friends that will skyrocket you and your family to your place in destiny. May you never keep a company that will keep you away from God and robs your family of its dominion. In case you don’t know whom to pick as your family friend, ask God in prayer and He will give you direction. Prevent your spouse and children from keeping wrong company. This is because the effect of the company you keep will sooner or later affect your marriage and family. Your marriage and family shall not fail, in Jesus’ name!
The first step to enjoying family dominion is by accepting Christ into your life. If you are not yet born again and you desire to do so right now, please pray this prayer with faith in your heart: Dear Lord Jesus Christ, I come to You today. I am a sinner. Forgive me my sins and cleanse me with Your Blood. I accept You as my Lord and personal Saviour. Make me a child of God today. Thank You for delivering me from sin and satan to serve the living God and thank You for accepting me into Your Kingdom.

“But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell.” Genesis 4:5 KJV
Many have died, many marriages have been destroyed; businesses, relationships and capitals have been lost because of the inability to handle emotions. Probably if Cain had first talked it over with God, he could have put the little pieces together. He would have understood why his offering was not accepted. And he could have been able to control himself. You see, you can’t go to the presence of God and leave the same way. No! Something has to happen! I am convinced that no matter how angry Cain was, if he had come to the presence of God, He would have healed him. God would have spoken into his heart. God would have told him: “Listen son, I was expecting a blood offering but you came with your effort and man’s effort is not acceptable before God. When you are coming before me, it must be me and me alone, not me plus you”.
Do you know that handling things your way is a display of pride and arrogance, because you have refused to humble yourself under the mighty hand of God? Pride in this context is not when you swell up like a loaf of bread that has been put in water. Pride is when you fail to acknowledge what the Lord has done and model your life based on it.
According to the book of James 4:6: “God gives more grace to the humble” It is humility to say ‘I will do it God’s way and not my own way.’ It is pride when it is ‘only me.’ It is humility to handle issues God’s way. When you are humble, you will be able to rebuke the devil. Probably the reason believers are not able to rebuke the devil, who is already a defeated foe, is that they are not humble. The devil understands Spiritual law. He understands where you are. When you are not humble, you are arrogant.

FIRE SCRIPTURE: 1 Thessalonians 1:5-10
MEMORY VERSE: “Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
The MESSAGE:
A model is a shining example, a good reference point and a showpiece. In this corrupt society, as a Christian, you can be a good model to your peers, groups, associates, friends, family members, etc. Timothy, Joseph, Samuel, Isaac, Daniel, Esther, Ruth, Lydia, Mary the mother of Jesus, etc., were good models as young men and ladies in their own generations. In character, behaviour and attitude, each of the aforementioned youths positively impacted their generations.
As a Christian, you can distinguish yourself from this perverse world. Joseph refused to yield to the temptation of sexual sin proposed by his master’s wife. Daniel determined not to defile himself with the king’s food. Isaac submitted himself to his father, Abraham when he wanted to offer him as a sacrifice to God. Ruth manifested deep love for Naomi, her mother in-law. Esther, as an orphan, respected and honoured her uncle, Mordecai in all things, even when she became a queen. Timothy received the word of faith from his grandmother and his mother and became a reputable Christian ambassador.
Beloved, you have been called to be salt and light to your generation. Let others see Christ’s glory and character in you and decide to serve your God. Remember that God’s verdict concerning your new status in Christ qualifies you to be a good role model to others. 1 Peter 2:9 affirms that you are a chosen generation, royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people, that ye should show forth the praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light. The same God who bestowed grace upon Joseph, Daniel, Esther, Ruth and Timothy will give you the grace to be His ambassador and model others in your generation, in Jesus’ name.

Topic: Secrets of Greater Glory [Seeds of Destiny 3 March 2019 Devotional]
There is no success without secrets; there is no possibility without responsibility.
SCRIPTURE: The glory of this latter house shall be greater than of the former, saith the Lord of hosts: and in this place will I give peace, saith the Lord of hosts. – Haggai 2:9
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: There is no success without secrets; there is no possibility without responsibility.
It has been established that greater glory is the Will of God for His children (Haggai 2:9).
Yesterday, we saw the dimensions of the manifestation of greater glory we are expected to see in our lives as children of God; we saw that God is willing to manifest His Fullness, Might, Light, Goodness, Honour, Wealth and Peace in our lives.
Today, we shall look at the keys to accessing the greater glory of God. This is because there is no success without secrets, and there is no possibility without responsibility. To know and apply the secrets of greater glory is to experience greater glory practically in life.
Now, what are the secrets of greater glory in life and destiny?
i. Passion for God (Exodus 33:18; Psalm 63:1-2)
Your passion for God determines your portion with God.
ii. Following God’s pattern or plan for your life (Exodus 40:33-35; 25:40; 22:9). Following God’s pattern attracts His glory. When you follow the pattern of God, you enjoy His glory.
iii. Praising God in the beauty of Holiness (2Chronicles 5:13-14; Ex. 15:11). The praise of God commands the glory of God. To praise God unconditionally is to see His glory abundantly.
iv. Unconditional obedience to God’s Word (John 2:5, 11)
To obey God is to see His glory manifested. Where the obedience of God is confirmed, the glory of God is on ground.
v. Faith in God’s ability (John 11:40)
Your faith in God will pull the manifestation of His Glory.
To see greater glory, you must operate in greater faith.
Beloved, my counsel is, if you must see the glory of God in greater dimensions, then you must make up your mind to practice the secrets of greater glory outlined above. When you practice the secrets of greater glory, you would enjoy the products of greater glory.
Remember this: There is no success without secrets; there is no possibility without responsibility.
