Kenneth Copeland Devotional 27 February 2019 – Better Things to Come

Topic: Better Things to Come [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 27 February 2019]

But [God’s grace] is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel – 2 Timothy 1:10

Have you ever wondered what it will be like when your body dies and you go on to heaven? Well, according to the Word, when that time comes, this flesh and blood tent you live in will die, but you won’t feel a thing. You’ll just take off the cloak of your flesh, lay it down and go to a better place.

Believers who have died and come back say that they have no sensation of loss—no sting. Their minds stay intact, and they even have arms and legs, but they are spirit and not flesh. One man said he couldn’t even tell he wasn’t in his body until he tried to grasp something. His hand would just go right through the material object. He was spirit and not flesh.

According to the Apostle Paul, to be absent from the body is to be present with God (2 Corinthians 5:1). So, when God calls you home, you’ll just abandon your fleshly body and go to be with Him forever.

It’s interesting though. God doesn’t even refer to our old, abandoned bodies as being dead. He says they’re just asleep. Why? Because He knows that just as sleep is temporary, so is the death of the body. He’s planned a day when our sleeping bodies will be awakened and raised up in glory just like Jesus’ was.

Hallelujah! There’s coming a day when not only our spirits have victory over death, our physical bodies do too!

Death is not the “end” for you. It’s only a change to a better place!

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:1-9

Andrew Wommack Devotional 27 February 2019 – Commandments Lead To Happiness

Topic: Commandments Lead To Happiness [Andrew Wommack Devotional 27 February 2019]

Matthew 5:32, “But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, save for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.”

Text: Matthew 5:31-32

God’s commandments are not intended to make us miserable–they’re meant for our own happiness. Satan’s lie in the Garden of Eden caused Eve to question God’s motives behind His command (Genesis 3:5).

Malachi 2:15 says God hates divorce. God doesn’t hate the people who divorce. He hates the act of divorce because of the damage it does to people. God loves people.

Today, people see divorce as an easy way out of marital problems. But this is based on the misconception that the mate is the problem–which is rarely the case.

People who blame their mate for their problems give in easily to divorce, thinking that a new partner will solve the situation. Yet second marriages have over twice the failure rate of first marriages. That’s because we take ourselves and all our unresolved problems into the next marriage.

You can’t control other people–not even your mate. But through obeying the Lord, you can control yourself and have fulness of joy. God’s commands tell us what will produce true happiness for us.

Billy Graham Devotional 27 February 2019 – God Our Comforter

Topic: God Our Comforter [Billy Graham Devotional 27 February 2019]

I, even I, am he that comforteth you . . . —Isaiah 51:12

There is also comfort in mourning, because in the midst of mourning God gives a song. His presence in our lives changes our mourning into song, and that song is a song of comfort. This kind of comfort is the kind which enabled a devout Englishman to look at a deep dark hole in the ground where his home stood before the bombing and say, “I always did want a basement. Now I can jolly well build another house, like I always wanted.” This kind of comfort is the kind which enabled a young minister’s wife in a church near us to teach her Sunday school class of girls on the very day of her husband’s funeral. Her mourning was not the kind which had no hope—it was a mourning of faith in the goodness and wisdom of God; it believed that our heavenly Father makes no mistakes.

Prayer for the day: Oh heavenly Father, who knows what agony and grief are because of the sacrifice of Your beloved Son, Jesus Christ-I thank You for the comfort which embraces all those who love You.

Congregants Gather for Baptism Outside Church Destroyed By Tornado the Day Before

Nine people were baptized outside a Mississippi church the day after a tornado blew through the church.

According to WTVR.com, the tornado pulled the roof off and destroyed the walls at First Pentecostal Church of Columbus on Saturday. The National Weather Service reported nine tornadoes in the surrounding area and states.

While the roof and walls of the church are gone, Pastor Steve Blaylock said the pews are still intact. Sunday, about 100 people gathered for a baptism service outside the building.

“I don’t know what God’s plan is, I always know it’s gonna work together for our good,” Blaylock said Sunday morning.

“I’m so humbled by the help and support,” he told CNN Sunday.

He also told CNN that the church would be rebuilt.

“Rebuilding is definitely in the future,” he said. “It’s just a building, our church is the people.

“We will rebuild. We’ve got a good church here,” Blaylock said. “It will be a testimony of God.”

One person was killed in the Columbus, Mississippi tornado Saturday. It was the first tornado death of 2019, according to USA Today. The 41-year-old woman was killed when a building collapsed on her. Columbus Mayor Robert

Smith said 12 other people were injured in the tornado.

Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant commented on the loss saying, “We are saddened by the loss of life but…

Senate Democrats Block Medical Care for Babies Surviving Abortion

Senate Democrats Block Medical Care for Babies Surviving Abortion

All six Senate Democrats running for president joined with other members of their party Monday in blocking a bill that would require doctors to provide medical care for babies who survive abortion.

The bill received 53 “yes” votes – 50 from Republicans and three from Democrats – which was seven short of the 60 needed to end a Democrat-led filibuster. All 43 “no” votes came from Democrats. It was the first roll-call vote on the bill, which previously had been blocked in a unanimous consent request.

The bill is known as the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act and applies only to cases “of an abortion or attempted abortion that results in a child born alive,” according to the text.

It says “any health care practitioner present” during such a case must “exercise the same degree of professional skill, care, and diligence to preserve the life and health of the child” as a “reasonably diligent and conscientious health care practitioner would render to any other child born alive at the same gestational age.”

The bill requires that the baby who survives an abortion be “immediately transported and admitted to a hospital.”

The six senators running for president – Amy Klobuchar (Minn.), Kamala Harris (Calif.), Cory Booker (N.J.), Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) and Bernie Sanders (Vt.) — voted to block the…

Open Heaven 27 February 2019 – No Food for the Lazy Man

Open Heaven 27 February 2019 Wednesday Daily Devotional By Pastor E. A. Adeboye – No Food for the Lazy Man

Topic: No Food for the Lazy Man (Open Heaven 27 February 2019)

Memorise: “For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.”- 2 Thessalonians 3:10

Read: Proverbs 6:4-11(KJV)

4 Give not sleep to thine eyes, nor slumber to thine eyelids.

5 Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.

6 Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise:

7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler,

8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest.

9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep?

10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep:

11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.

Bible in One Year: Acts 14-15, Isaiah 49:1-12

Open Heaven 27 February 2019 Wednesday MESSAGE:

Laziness can be defined as the attitude of being unwilling to work or dissipate energy in the pursuit of a goal. It can also be viewed as an attribute of an idle, slow or sluggish person. The Bible describes some characteristics of a lazy person which are important for us to consider today. As revealed in Proverbs 6:9, the first notable characteristic of a lazy person is the love of sleep. Lazy people find it convenient to spend the better part of the day sleeping, and when they finally get out of bed, they do as little work as possible. Proverbs 6:10-11 cites excessive sleep as the source of a lazy man’s poverty, saying:

“10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 11 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.”

Lazy people generally lack initiative. They won’t do any work unless they are forced, and they can’t work without supervision. For such people, when their supervisor is away, they resume late at work and leave before the normal closing hours. They always work at the minimum level, and have mastered the art of making excuses to avoid work. Whenever you question lazy people about their work ethics, they usually have must to offer in the form of excuses. Lazy people are more often than not out in search of easy money. They hope to get rich with minimal effort, and so they are constantly seeking for ways to circumvent God’s way of making money through diligence and hard work. Lazy people are dreamers who nurse hopes of bailout by Government, family or friends, even before starting any venture.

A lazy person is highly destructive by nature. He is a waster and a poor manager of materials, financial and human resources. A lazy person usually ends up destroying precious things such as time, income, opportunities, marriage and family relationships. Because of this, lazy people are bound to suffer many regrets later in life. They will be forced to think of their unfulfilled ambitions, wasted opportunities and unsatisfied desires. They will crave things that they no longer have the means of getting. A lazy man usually ends up being ridiculed in his family and disgraced in the community. God disciplines lazy people by allowing them to experience the consequences of their foolishness, with the hope that they will learn wisdom through their poverty. These are just a few of the severe consequences reserved for lazy people. May the Lord deliver the body of Christ and our nation from idleness and laziness in Jesus’ Name.

Open Heaven 27 February 2019 Wednesday Action Point:

Examine yourself to see if you possess any of the attributes of a lazy person and quickly adjust your life.

Open Heaven 27 February 2019 Wednesday Hymn 5: Let Others See Jesus In You

1.While passing thro’ this world of sin,
and others your life shall view,
Be clean and pure without, within;
Let others see Jesus in you.

Chorus:
Let others see Jesus in you,
Let others see Jesus in you.
Keep telling the story, be faithful and true;
Let others see Jesus in you.

2. Your life’s a book before their eyes,
They’re reading it thro’ and thro’
Say, does it point them to the skis,
Do others see Jesus in you?

3. Then live for Christ both day and night,
Be faithful, be brave and true,
and lead the lost to life and Christ.
Let others see Jesus in you.

Pro-life supporters protest outside NI office in response to decriminalisation demo

Campaigners carried the names in boxes and crossed Westminster bridge with balloons and banners.

They were responding to a demonstration by Amnesty International, supported by actors in the Derry Girls TV series, calling on Northern Ireland to decriminalise abortion.

Pro-choice campaigners took a petition to the Northern Ireland office signed by 62,000 people, asking for abortion law to be brought in-line with the rest of the UK.

Terminations are currently a criminal offence in Northern Ireland unless it is done to save the mother, physically or mentally.

Amnesty say the laws are “dangerous and degrading”.

Campaigners travelled with 28 suitcases to represent the 28 women who travel from Northern Ireland every week to get an abortion where it is legal.

Marion Woods, spokesperson for pro-life group Both Lives Matter told Premier Christian Radio’s News Hour: “We are getting tired of Amnesty using Northern Ireland in this way because actually what they seek is full-scale decriminalisation of abortion across not only Northern Ireland but England, Wales and Scotland as well.

“And secondly we wanted to have the Northern Irish voice…

‘Christian Witches’ to Host ‘Magickal’ Convention in Salem

‘Christian Witches’ to Host ‘Magickal’ Convention in Salem

Reverend Valerie Love is preparing to host the first “Christian witches” convention in Salem, Massachusetts, this April.

According to CBN News, Love is both an “ordained Minister of Spiritual Consciousness” and a practicing witch.

According to her website, Love was raised in “the cult of Jehovah’s Witnesses” and after 26 years as a Jehovah’s Witness, she had a “magickal” awakening. The founder of the Covenant of Christian Witches Mystery School and author of 15 books, wrote on her website that she has “always been ‘magickal’” and is a “born witch.”

In 2013, Love published The Christian Witch’s Creed which has amassed a large following.

In her Christian Witch’s Creed, Love wrote, “I am a Christian Witch; I love my cross and my wand. I consult my Tarot deck and my Bible. I adore & am devoted to Christ and the Goddess.”

It continues, “There is no conflict in what I do, what I say or who I am.”

“Whether I’m walking in nature hanging out with Faeries, or in high consciousness communication with Angels or commanding demons & spirits, or stirring a healing remedy in my cauldron, or pulling herbs for a tea, or speaking a spell or dressing a candle, where ever I may be and whatever I may be doing, I am never confused and I am never in denial,” the creed goes on. “I am clear and certain. I was sent here by God for God’s good…
