The Queen, who is their patron, wrote to them as part of a service to celebrate 100 years since the department was granted the prefix “Royal”.
Formed in 1726, the department was given the title by her grandfather, King George V, on February 22 1919 in recognition of their “outstanding service and sacrifice” during the First World War, her letter read.
Reflecting on this sacrifice, the Queen wrote: “They have remained quietly dedicated and steadfast in their calling, providing spiritual support, moral guidance and pastoral care to all soldiers, wherever they serve.”
Arriving at the Guards’ Chapel in Wellington Barracks, Westminster, on Friday, the Queen, wearing a royal blue tweed coat and matching hat by Angela Kelly, was met by cheering crowds who had gathered in the sunshine.
She was welcomed by Reverend Stephen Dunwoody, senior Chaplain for London, and the Chaplain-General, the Venerable Clinton Langston.
The band of the Grenadier Guards played a military fanfare as she entered the chapel and followed the procession down the aisle.
Army chaplains are professionally qualified officers who wear the British Army uniform and travel overseas with units, but as non-combatants they do not bear arms.
Following the service, the Queen viewed three paintings specially commissioned to commemorate the centenary.

Open Heaven 23 February 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:
The devil is a wicked, deceitful, devious and cunning personality who always seeks to influence people for his own evil purposes. When he craftily approached Adam and Eve as a serpent in the Garden of Eden and presented his evil theory to them for consideration, little did they know that they were being targeted for death and destruction. The devil is sly, and his proposals must always be critically analyzed to fish out all contradictions with the word of God.
In John 8:44, the Lord Jesus Christ describes the devil as follows:
“…He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
What a damning depiction! Satan is a liar who loves to give empty promises; believe him at your own peril. He is also a master of rebellion and a covenant breaker. Those who trust and depend on him are bound to be disappointed. He is unrepentantly evil and has been a murderer from the very beginning. He is determined to steal, kill and destroy anyone who deals with him in ignorance. Those who have dealt with him know that he is in the habit of promising to protect people’s children from death at night, only to demand for those same children for breakfast. In other words, what he gives you with the right hand he takes away with the left. Are you in any form of covenant with the devil, and you are afraid to break it? I bring you the word of the Lord in Isaiah 28:18, which says:
“And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; ”
Yes, you can be free! God is willing to liberate you from the shackles of that covenant today.
Children of God must learn that the devil cannot be trusted under any circumstance. He is a very smart deceiver that has succeeded in misleading several individuals, including Adam and Eve, Judas Iscariot, Ananias and Sapphira, Ahab, Jezebel, Peter, and many more. As seen in Exodus 7:11-12, the devil even works counterfeit miracles and also has raise false prophets appointed to corrupt the message of the gospel and hoodwink people (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). He even deliberately misuses scriptures to sow doubt in the minds of God’s people (Matthew 4:6). Stand your ground against him, and never fall for any of his antics.

The Eskiltuna district court heard that Johan Nicklas Backstrom stole two crowns and an orb used at the funerals of King Karl IX and Queen Kristina.
On the closing day of his trial last week, Backstrom confessed to stealing the items from the Strangnas Cathedral, west of the capital, on July 31.
His confession came after prosecutors said his DNA was found on the jewels, which were discovered on February 5 in a bin north of Stockholm.
Backstrom said he cut himself when smashing the glass during the theft.
The court noted that the king’s crown was damaged, and some of the ornamental stones had fallen off.
Christofer Lundgren, the cathedral dean, said “the regalia need to be repaired as much as possible so a lot of work remains”, according to Swedish broadcaster SVT.
The heist made international headlines because two thieves were seen dashing away from the 13th-century red-brick church on stolen bicycles before fleeing by motorboat via the vast system of lakes west of Stockholm.
The treasures were used as funeral regalia, which were placed inside or on top of a coffin to symbolise a deceased royal’s identity and social ranking.
While some funeral regalia are kept in the cathedrals of Strangnas, Uppsala and Vasteras, Sweden’s crown jewels are in vaults under the Royal Castle in Stockholm.

Pro-BDS Congresswoman Used Israeli Product to Build Her Campaign Website
Anti-Israel Congresswoman Representative Rashida Tlaib has been an outspoken supporter for boycotting Israeli products and goods, but a new video revealed that she and several other supporters of the boycott, divestment, and sanctions (BDS) movement toward Israel, have been using an Israeli product anyways.
According to the Jerusalem Post, British-based organization Israel Advocacy Movement unmasked Tlaib’s (D-MI) support of an Israeli company – Wix.com – after looking at the source code for her campaign website. The code sites “Wix.com Website Builder” as its generator.
In a video detailing the discovery, Joseph Cohen draws attention to that fact that while Tlaib is encouraging Americans to boycott Israel, she is paying for a website hosted and generated by an Israeli company.
Cohen quipped, “That’s right, the Palestinian Queen of BDS has a website that was built and bought from Israel.”
Wix.com was founded in 2006 by Avishai Abrahami, Giora Kaplan, and Nadav Abrahami and is an “Israeli cloud-based web development platform.” According to CBN News, the website generator has helped over 100 million people create websites in 190 countries.

The station said the broadcaster, who trained as a nurse and later a midwife, died peacefully in Southampton General Hospital on Wednesday evening with her husband and daughter present.
She recently told Chris Evans in a broadcast from her hospital bed that she had just weeks to live.
The broadcaster was one of the first female priests in the Church of England.

Couple Sues after Failed Abortion, Wants $765,000 for ‘Unplanned Child’
An Idaho couple is suing a New Mexico Planned Parenthood after an abortion failed and they were left with “an additional unplanned child.”
Bianca Coons and her partner, Cristobal Ruiz, traveled 700 miles to an Albuquerque Planned Parenthood in 2016 when Coons was six weeks pregnant for a medical abortion, or the abortion pill, the Albuquerque Journal reported.
They already had two children and were “destitute and attempting to maintain and limit the size of their family,” according to the lawsuit.
The abortion pill requires two rounds of medication. Mifepristone, taken the first day, causes the lining of the uterus to release the unborn baby. Misoprostol, taken up to 72 hours later, sparks contractions and the delivery of the dead child.
Coons and Ruiz returned to Idaho after taking the first round. She then became nauseous and visited an emergency room, where she was told her baby had a heartbeat and was healthy, according to the lawsuit cited in the Albuquerque Journal. She subsequently took the second round of medicine, according to the suit.
But the abortion pill combination did not work, and when she learned she was still pregnant, she did not want to go through with a traditional abortion. The abortion pill can be taken only in the first few weeks of pregnancy.

Members of the General Synod have been debating the issue at a meeting in Westminster.
Brought forward by Rev Barry Hill from the Diocese of Leicester, the motion affirms the role of prayer in evangelism and also calls on every parish to get involved in the ecumenical movement Thy Kingdom Come.
It goes on to call on dioceses to encourage and equip both clergy and lay people to be confident in sharing their faith.
Addressing members during the debate Rev Hill suggested “England won’t be converted by clergy alone”.
Speaking to Premier before the debate, he claimed evangelism is for everyone and doesn’t need to be difficult.
He said: “If we can show the beauty and joy – not cheerfulness, it’s not about enforced smiles – people will see the attraction of that.”
He went on to challenge clergy to play their part: “The challenge I find in church leadership is there’s always 50 things to do and if we’re not careful – even with the best intentions – taking time to deliberately witness to God’s love can slip down the list a little bit.”
Synod was also set to debate evangelism on estates on Friday as well as encouraging youth evangelism on Saturday.

On the second day of Francis’ extraordinary gathering, the focus of debate shifted to how church leaders must acknowledge that decades of their own cover-ups, secrecy and fear of scandal had only worsened the crisis.

President Trump Will Leave 200 Troops in Syria to Keep the Peace
Following his December announcement saying that he would be pulling all U.S. troops out of Syria, President Trump has decided to leave 200 troops in the Middle Eastern country in order to keep the peace.
In a news conference on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders announced the change saying, “A small peacekeeping group of about 200 will remain in Syria for a period of time.” This will be a drastic change as the number of soldiers in Syria will go from 2,000 to 200.
President Trump’s December announcement which stated that we had both beat ISIS in Syria and would be withdrawing all 2,000 troops from the region was met with mix emotions. As Christian Headlines previously reported, political leaders on both sides of the aisle condemned the President’s decision, insisting that ISIS was still alive and well in Syria.
According to CBN News, the Pentagon warned the President that a total withdrawal of the U.S. from Syria would enable the terror group to regain its lost territory in six to 12 months.

This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh(Galatians 5:16).
Some people unwittingly allow every form of strife to take root in their hearts: bitterness, malice, anger, envy, hatred, and all forms of wickedness. But the Apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4:31-32, admonishes that we put away these things and walk in love: “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.”
But the question is, “How do you consistently walk in love in a world where there’s so much hate?” Our opening text gives us the answer: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh” (Galatians 5:16). When you walk in the Spirit, you see and walk differently; your perspective is different, and walking in love is natural to you. Being born again, you have the capacity to love even the most difficult or seemingly unlovable people.
When you walk in the Spirit, the love of God emits from you profusely; you’re kind-hearted and compassionate; you live beyond yourself and transcend the human level of selfishness and your own desires. When you walk in the Spirit, you go beyond “This is what I want” or “This is how I like it”; you think differently, and esteem others better than yourself (Philippians 2:3).
When you walk in the Spirit, you see with His eyes and think godly and loving thoughts towards others. There wouldn’t be any iota of anger, selfishness, bitterness or resentment manifested in or through you; those things just don’t find a place in you. The words of Jesus in Matthew 5:43-44 become your lifestyle: “Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”
PRAYER Dear Father, I thank you for the infilling of the Holy Spirit that I experience always. My thoughts, words and actions are motivated by your love, causing me to see and to relate with others with Christ’s love, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
