The sower soweth the word. – Mark 4:14
Right now, at this very moment, you have hidden within you a treasure that can change the world. A treasure that can change a man’s eternal destiny, that can take him to heaven and save him from hell. A treasure that can turn a person’s poverty into prosperity, his sickness into health, his sorrow into joy.
You have within you the all-powerful Word of God.
Don’t keep it to yourself. Plant it wherever you go! Sow it into the hearts of those you meet. Share it at every opportunity.
“But I don’t know how!” you may say.
Then start learning. Let these three steps help guide the way.
One: Make a decision. Make up your mind and heart today that you are going to share the Word with others no matter what! Determine right now that it’s the most important thing you’ll ever do. Commit to it. Once you’ve done that, you’ll find the rest is easy.
Two: Prepare yourself. Spend time meditating in the Word each day. Allow the Holy Spirit to minister to you. That will make it easy for you to minister to others. You’ll be sensitive to the Holy Spirit and be able to hear His voice. He’ll help you know what to say in each situation.
Three: Stay in faith. Once you’ve shared the Word with someone, trust God for the results. The Word of God does not return void. Even if they seem indifferent to you, even if it appears the Word had no effect, keep believing. Your faith will keep that Word alive inside them, and eventually, it will do its transforming work.
You have, hidden within you, a treasure that can change the world. What are you going to do with it today?

Majority of Pro-Choice Americans Oppose Third Trimester Abortions, New Survey Reveals
A new survey has revealed that the majority of pro-choice Americans do not support allowing abortions to take place up until the moment of birth.
Americans United for Life (AUL), partnered with YouGov, released on Tuesday the poll’s findings, which surveyed the attitudes of 1,145 American adults toward abortion.
The survey was taken February 6 and 7, closely following the backlash against the recent New York legislation, and the controversy surrounding Virginia Governor, Ralph Northam.
Two weeks prior to the poll, late-term abortions were legalized in New York under the Reproductive Health Act, and only one week before, Gov. Northam “suggested babies who survived abortion should only be allowed to live if their mother wants them to,” CBN News reports.
Among the findings listed by AUL:
· 80% of Americans reject abortion the day before a child is born
· 79% reject abortion in the third trimester
· 68% of pro-choice Americans oppose abortion the day before a child is born
· 66% of pro-choice Americans oppose abortion in the third trimester
The survey also gathered that 53% identify as “pro-choice” and 47% identify as “pro-life.”

Topic: Familiarity Breeds Contempt [Andrew Wommack Devotional 16 February 2019]
Luke 4:24, “And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.”
Text: Luke 4:16-30
A modern day equivalent of this verse is “familiarity breeds contempt.” Those who know the most about us also know more of our faults than anyone else. As a general rule, our weaknesses will blind most people to our strengths.
However, in the case of Jesus, there were no faults or failures to bias these people. In this instance, the problem stemmed from the people’s lack of perception. They knew Jesus better than most in the flesh, but they had failed to see who He was in the Spirit.
Jesus was God in all His power and majesty, yet He was clothed in flesh –a human in every respect (1 Tim. 3:16; Heb. 1:3). These people looked on Jesus’ outward appearance and failed to see God within (1 Sam. 16:7).
Likewise, we fail to see the potential in others and even in ourselves because of our preoccupation with the outward appearance and actions. But within every born again person is a new creation which is waiting to be released (2 Cor. 5:17). All it takes is someone who believes.
Today look beyond the exterior in yourself and others and help bring into reality what we can be in Christ.

Columbus was called mad because he decided to sail the uncharted ocean. . . . Martin Luther was called mad because he presumed to defy the entrenched religious hierarchy of his time. Patrick Henry was considered mad when he cried, “Give me liberty, or give me death!” George Washington was thought to be mad when he decided to continue the war after the winter at Valley Forge, when thousands of his men had died and other thousands had deserted, leaving him only a handful of men. We have become too sophisticated and respectable to be called mad in our generation. Christianity has become so respectable and so conventional that it is now insipid.
The salt has lost its flavor. . . . Would to God that the world found us Christians dangerous enough to call us mad, in these days when materialism and secularism are sweeping over the world. Thank God there are those who sacrifice time, talents, social position, and lucrative posts, and who fling aside every advantage in order to serve the Kingdom of God.
Prayer for the day: Instill in me, Lord Jesus, the same savor that the disciples showed as they lived so enthusiastically for You.

Mike Pence Warns World Leaders of Iranian Plot for ‘Another Holocaust’ in Israel
During a conference on Wednesday, Vice President Mike Pence warned European and Middle Eastern leaders of the ‘new Holocaust’ the Iranian regime is plotting.
Iranian President Hassan Rouhani announced on Monday – during the 40thanniversary of the Islamic Revolution – that he would ‘raze Tel Aviv and Haifa to the ground’ if the U.S. military attacked.
Two days later, during a two-day conference in Warsaw, Poland, Pence spoke to world leaders noting the Iranian regime’s threat to “eliminate” Israel.
He said, “the Authoritarian regime in Tehran represses the freedom of speech and assembly, it persecutes religious minorities, it brutalizes women, executes gay people and openly advocates for the destruction of the state of Israel.”
He continued noting remarks made by the former Supreme Leader of Iran. Pence said, “Ayatollah Khomeini himself said that it is the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran to erase Israel from the map.”
Pence went on to condemn anti-Semitism, urging each of the world leaders in the room to condemn anti-Semitic rhetoric as well. “Anti-Semitism is not just wrong, it’s evil,” Pence said.
“Anti-Semitism must be confronted where ever and whenever it arises, and it must be universally condemned,” he added.

Archaeologists May Have Found the Old Testament City of Ai
Dr. Scott Stripling and a team of archaeologists say they may have found the location of the Biblical city of Ai from the Old Testament.
The team, the Associates for Biblical Research, has been excavating the site near Jerusalem for years, according to SputnikNews.com.
“There were 14 years of difficult digging with an 8-year hiatus due to the Intifada,” Stripling said, referring to the Palestinian uprising against Israel. “We suffered from constant vandalism. But we persevered and did an excellent job of excavating.”
The city of Ai was a Canaanite city described in the Book of Joshua where the city was ambushed by Joshua and the Israelites.
Previously, archaeologists and historians have thought that the ruins of the city were near el-Tell in the West Bank. However, Stripling’s team is claiming that the city was located at Khirbet el-Maqatir.
Stripling said the biblical description of the Israelites hiding in a dip could be present-day Wadi Sheban, which is just west of the ancient city of Ai.
Stripling is expected to publish his findings and what he calls “compelling evidence” later this year.
“This gives us a regional perspective, an overview of what was happening in the highlands of Israel in antiquity,” he said. “We can see transitions in the culture.”
Stripling says he is a Christian and his work has bolstered his faith.

We need a new deal for low-income families to cushion the blow and this has prompted us to write to you.
They say the ‘already shamefully high’ rates of poverty in the UK could worsen unless the government steps in.
The group call for three things: an end to the benefits freeze that was introduced in April 2016, reduce the five week wait at the start of claiming unviersal credit to two weeks and for the government to provide a ‘stimulus package’ of support for jobs which could be affected by Brexit — particularly in the area of trade in regions of deprivation.
Trump Tells 4,500 Pro-Life Leaders on Call: Late-Term Abortion is ‘Execution’
President Trump participated in a conference call with thousands of pro-lifers Thursday, telling them that his administration remains committed to the cause.
“I want to thank all the thousands of pro-lifers and pro-life leaders, pastors, families and advocates for joining this call and for working with such love and devotion to build a culture that cherishes human life,” Trump reportedly said.
About 4,500 pro-life leaders took part in the call.
The phone call wasn’t recorded for the public, but pastor Mike Evans, who participated in the call, told . that Trump used the term “execution” to describe the late-term abortion procedure Virginia Democratic Gov. Ralph Northam said he supported.
“[Trump] also said every child that is born is created in the image of God and that they all have dreams, and all deserve the right to reach their full potential,” Evans told .. “He also talked about that he had seen progress in the last two weeks on all this, and that he was hopeful that there could be significant legislation that he would be able to pass that proposes this agenda and that he looked forward to a time when there’d be a signing celebration at the White House.”

Open Heaven 16 February 2019 Saturday MESSAGE:
Divine chastisement is a loving and corrective form of training which leads to godliness, maturity and responsibility. Through it, God trains His people to obey Him. The purpose of divine discipline is to build a community of faithful and loyal Christians who are committed to totally obeying the word of God and are constantly working to please Him. If you are one of those who believe that God’s discipline is unkind, unloving, unfair and difficult, consider the word in Hebrews 12:11, which says:
“Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.”
Although to be chastised by God may be unpleasant experiences which more often than not result in anguish and pain, it invariably produces fruits of righteousness in those who endure it. For this reason, the Holy Spirit encourages us not to despise divine discipline or reject God’s correction, because they are acts through which God demonstrates His love towards anyone that is saved (Hebrews 12:5-6). Proverbs 3:11-12 tells us that chastisement is an expression of love which God reserves only for those whom He delights in. In other words, whenever God reproves and chastises us, we can be certain that He is treating us as a father would treat a beloved child. Discipline should therefore not be viewed as an act of vengeance or hatred. Hebrews 12:7-8 admonishes us to endure discipline as an acceptance of God’s love towards us, because anyone left out of the Father’s correction is an illegitimate child. Chastisement therefore, is evidence of God’s love for His people.
In conclusion, meditate on the words of Job 36:10-12, saying:
“10 He openeth also their ear to discipline, and commandeth that they return from iniquity. 11 If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures. 12 But if they obey not, they shall perish by the sword, and they shall die without knowledge.”
Submit to divine discipline today, and God will ensure that you spend the rest of your life in joy, peace and prosperity.

The multinational technology company’s president Brad Smith met the Pope in private on Wednesday.
According to a statement, the pair discussed “artificial intelligence at the service of the common good and activities aimed at bridging the digital divide that still persists at the global level”.
Pope Francis and Smith also met with Archbishop Vincenzo Paglia of the Pontifical Academy for Life, the Vatican scientific office that promotes Catholic Church positions on human life.
Speaking at the pontiff’s residence, Smith and Archbishop Vincenzo highlighted the international prize that the Academy for Life is jointly sponsoring with Microsoft for the best doctoral dissertation in 2019 on the theme of “artificial intelligence at the service of human life”.
The winner will receive 6,000 euros and an invitation to Microsoft’s Seattle headquarters.
