Joyce Meyer Devotional 7 February 2019 — Give Yourself a Head Start

Topic: Give Yourself a Head Start [Joyce Meyer Devotional 7 February 2019]

The Lord God has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with a word him who is weary. Morning by morning he awakens; he awakens my ear to hear as those who are taught. — Isaiah 50:4

Nothing will prepare you to face what you have to face at work, at home, in relationships, or in daily life like taking some time to commune with God before your busy day begins.

When I first understood that I needed to prepare myself for every day by spending time with God, some of my children complained. They were teenagers at that time, so I told them:

“Listen, you’re old enough to put cereal in a bowl and pour milk on it. And you should be glad I go to my study every morning. You will have a much nicer day if I take this time with God!”

Yesterday morning, I told my daughter, Sandra, I was going to spend my early morning time with the Lord, and she replied, “Are you going to get nice?” We both laughed because we’ve learned that even something as simple as being nice to others can be impossible without that daily preparation in God’s presence and Word.

I know many people feel extremely pressed for time, and the very thought of adding something else to your schedule makes you shudder. All I have to say is, the more you have to do and the busier you are, the more you really need to spend time with God.

I do not know how you need to adjust your schedule, but I know the time you give to God is no different from the money you give to God—if you give Him time, He will give it back to you.

God is in charge of time; He knows how much time you need to accomplish the things you really need to do, and He can protect and help you manage it if you will spend time with Him first. Stop trying to fit God into your schedule and make a decision to put Him first, then work the rest of your schedule around Him.

Prayer Starter: Father, I want to make a habit of spending time with You. You are my Source of help and strength, and I can’t have any real success in life without You. Help me today to make You a priority in my life and work my schedule around You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Secure Your Miracle by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

Secure Your Miracle by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

To remain a star in the kingdom of God, you must know how to deal with the trickster. The master trickster is the devil. God will not drive the devil away for us; we have the responsibility to do so.

Genesis 15:11 (KJV) And when the fowls came down upon the carcasses, Abram drove them away.

When the devil wants to tamper with any sacrifice you have given, you have the responsibility to rise up to the occasion and drive him away. The devil does not believe in congratulating people; he destabilizes people. After every manifestation comes temptation.

Matthew 4:1 (KJV) Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

You cannot fold your arms and expect the devil to congratulate you when you are manifesting the glory of God. After every successful program and promise, you must launch an attack immediately. You must be aggressive to be progressive. Do not wait for things to go wrong before you fight back. Fight so that things will not go wrong.

Also Read: Enjoying Distinction in Family by Pastor David Ibiyeomie

It is dangerous to fall into a pit and start looking for a way to bring yourself out; it is better you do not fall at all. Why we need to be on the offensive is because the devil is persistent and he wants to come back. He does not give up so you cannot afford to give up.

Matthew 12:43-45 (KJV) When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

God is not going to protect the miracle He gives to you without you doing something. You are to protect it. You have a responsibility. You do not need to do anything to the devil to hate you; that you are a Christian is enough reason. This is because you have pitched your tent against him and he is also against you. Satan will not give you a smaller temptation because you are a woman or because you are weak. You must be on the offensive all the time. If you give the devil an inch, he will take a mile. The devil’s work is to constantly question the word of God in your life.

For every new vision that is born, hell will go out on rampage. While the world was celebrating the birth of Jesus, Herod was preparing to kill him so that the vision will not materialize. For every fruitfulness, there is a contention somewhere. Do not be relaxed after every victory, be vigilant. For every new level, there is a new devil. Every man lifted by God is an envy of hell.

Hebrews 12:29 (KJV) For our God is a consuming fire.

Every Christian must stay hot and revived all the days of their lives. Snakes cannot crawl through fire but they can crawl through ashes. It is good you remain on fire all the days of your life.

Leviticus 6:13 (KJV) The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.

If you do not want any attack, you must not allow yourself to be cold. You must stay awake spiritually for the devil to stay away permanently. See yourself as a possessor of victory. That is what makes your stand with God effective and powerful. Possessing a supernatural mentality that you are more than a conqueror gives you an edge over the devil. You must be conscious that you possess the nature of God inside of you.

I declare that you will never lose your miracle as you remain revived and maintain consciousness of your true nature, in Jesus name –Amen!

God bless you

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 7 February 2019 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – Don’t Take God’s Glory (II)

TOPIC: Don’t Take God’s Glory (II) (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 7 February 2019)

Bible In One Year: Leviticus 1-3; Matthew 24:1-28

FIRE SCRIPTURE: Acts 12:19-24

MEMORY VERSE: “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” – James 4:6

Herod’s family tree was full of evil. Unfortunately, none of them broke the evil they were known for. Though a royal family, each succeeding king Herod made history of perpetrating evil and acting against God and His people. God gave them a long rope, until the Herod in the time of Peter overstepped his bounds.

First, let’s look at the Herod’s history of wickedness. A king Herod ordered and supervised the killing of male children when he heard about the birth of Jesus. In an attempt to protect his throne, thousands of male children were killed by the king’s decree. Later on, another Herod, grandson of the former, ordered that John the Baptist be beheaded, thus summarily and untimely ending John the Baptist’s glorious ministry. It happened by Herod’s fiat.

During the days of the apostles, another Herod was infuriated by the apostle’s exploits and harvest of souls. He arrested and killed James. When no one challenged him, he went after Peter, arrested and imprisoned him. The church then began to pray for Peter. God intervened and sent His angel to release Peter from Herod’s prison and from untimely death. The Bible says, “Touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm.” God soon visited Herod with judgement. One day, some people praised king Herod so highly and Herod ascribed the glory due to God to himself. God did not punish those who praised Herod and likened him to God, but He punished Herod himself for ascribing the glory to himself. An angel of the Lord slapped king Herod and worms ate him up. What a sordid and terrible end?

Beloved, it is a terrible thing to ascribe the glory due to God to yourself or another being. God will not share His glory with anyone. Why did Herod meet his waterloo in this way? It is because he did not deal with the evil pattern he inherited from his ancestors. Rather, he continued in their evil ways. Are there evil things that your ancestors did? You need to cry to God for mercy. Repent, break free from them and begin to live a godly life. Were your ancestors polygamist, idolaters, occults, alcoholics or murderers? Do not continue in their evil way. Break the evil pattern today!

MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE:
TRUE HUMILITY IS NOT THINKING LESS OF YOURSELF; IT IS THINKING OF YOURSELF LESS.

PROPHETIC WORD:
The Lord shall arise for your help.

  2. Mine eyes shall see my desires on mine enemies, in the name of Jesus.
  3. Let fire go before me and burn up my enemies round about, in the name of Jesus.

EVENING

TREM Devotional 7 February 2019 – The Power of the Prayer Language of the Spirit

Topic: The Power of the Prayer Language of the Spirit [TREM Devotional 7 February 2019]

“For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.” 1 Corinthians 14:2 KJV

Regardless of the challenges confronting you, never discount yourself. You will still be celebrated. Don’t you know that the challenges that we have in this world are begging for answers? The challenges we have all over Africa are waiting for men and women with answers to manifest. And that is where we come in as believers, to sit down and pray and think out the solutions. It is not whether people like you or not. What matters is that you have the answer. Many will kiss the lips of him that has the answer.

There is the knowledge that passes all knowledge, which can only be accessed by revelation. And that is why you are given the prayer language of the Spirit. The Bible says when you speak in the Spirit you are speaking mysteries, which have been ordained for your glory; mysteries that will set you apart. When you pray in the prayer language of the Spirit, you are able to tap into answers that you couldn’t have. Somehow, you will just find yourself gravitating towards the solution.

Recently, I learnt of a certain man that lost all the data he had in his personal computer when it crashed. He had an important presentation to make but he was unable to recover his files. He became confused. He didn’t know what to do or where to start from. The situation had the potential to become an embarrassment. He started praying in the Holy Ghost. As he kept praying, the Holy Spirit said to him why don’t you try your wife’s laptop. He did as instructed and the thing came out. All the information he needed. The Holy Spirit gave him that special window to retrieve the needed information. There is no way God will allow us to be stranded when we utilize the weapons that He has given us. We cannot be stranded. There is always a solution for everything!

Seeds of Destiny 7 February 2019 Devotional – A Merry Heart for a Healthy Living

Topic: A Merry Heart for a Healthy Living [Seeds of Destiny 7 February 2019 Devotional]

SCRIPTURE: A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones. Proverbs 17:22

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: A merry heart is key to maintaining healthy living.

A merry heart is key to maintaining healthy living. Our anchor Scripture corroborates this: ‘A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones’. (Proverbs 17:22).

Beloved, the spirit of depression and heaviness is an enemy of Divine Health. Merriment is medicinal; excitement is therapeutic. Research shows that every time a person is excited, endorphins (happy hormones) are released and these hormones are important in building the body’s immune system. On the other hand, anytime a person is sad and depressed, there are hormones that are released that degenerate the body; these hormones degenerate the joints, and the person begins to have diversities of afflictions like arthritis as well as other afflictions such as ulcer, anxiety neurosis, etc.

Extreme depression is a mental condition. But when your heart is merry, your health is enhanced.

Walk away from anything that puts your life under pressure. For example, as a young lady or a man in courtship, run away from doing things that puts you under the pressure of sin in your relationship.

Beloved, anything that puts your joy or happiness under pressure is not of God; whatever makes your life miserable is an attack on your health.
My counsel is, do everything at your disposal to maintain your happiness; maintain a merry heart at all cost.

Remember this: A merry heart is key to maintaining healthy living.

ASSIGNMENTS:

  1. Fight against anything that puts your life and joy under pressure.
  2. Maintain joy at all cost even if the prevailing condition is against your happiness.

PRAYER: O Lord, I receive grace to maintain joy always. Deliver me from every trap of depression, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.

DCLM Daily Manna 7 February 2019 – Candidates for Heaven

Topic: Candidates for Heaven [DCLM Daily Manna 7 February 2019 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]

Text: John 8:12-31 (KJV)

Key Verse: “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, if ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed” – (John 8:31).

MESSAGE:

It is instructive that some of the far-reaching statements of our Lord Jesus Christ during His earthly ministry did not emanate directly from sermons or formal teachings. He made profound declarations at private encounters with such individuals as Nicodemus, the Samaritan woman, blind Bartimaeus and Zacchaeus. Another platform often used by the Lord was in discourse with the Pharisees, Sadducees and Scribes.

Today’s subject is drawn from an engaging discussion between the Master and a group of Jewish traditionalists who never ceased to oppose Him. They knew the truth of Christ’s messiahship. Being learned, they had read about all the prophecies concerning the coming Anointed of God. They had seen His miracles which mere mortals could not have performed. They had heard him preach as no one else ever did. Reports had reached them from their own that no man ever taught like Him. But a pall of darkness blocked their spirit from accepting the truth of His Word.

How could this be overcome? It is simply by accepting that Jesus is the Light of the world, who came from the Father in heaven. He gives light to this world of sin, and draws those who receive Him out of the darkness of hell and guides them to heaven.

Our passage concludes with the Lord telling the Jews that “If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed.” True discipleship that leads to heaven is based on total and continuous obedience to the teachings of the Master. Selective and staggered obedience would disallow the full bestowal of the oil of grace that enables the believer to endure till the end. How we need to ensure a strict obedience to God’s word, that we may partake of His blessings!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: Random obedience to God is rebellion.

Open Heavens for Teens 7 February 2019 – Whatsoever Things are of Virtue

Topic: Whatsoever Things are of Virtue [Open Heavens for Teens 7 February 2019]

Memorise: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:” – Proverbs 23:7

Read: Philippians 4:8

8 For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of reverence and is honorable and seemly, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely and lovable, whatever is kind and winsome and gracious, if there is any virtue and excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think on and weigh and take account of these things [fix your minds on them].

Bible In One Year: Leviticus 1-3, Matthew 24:23-51

MESSAGE:

Virtues refer to good behavior. As a teenager, this is the best time to start forming your virtues. The formation of virtues begin from the way you think.

When you see two people quarrelling, rather than think of getting them angrier to make them fight so that you can see who will win, think of separating them. This way you will form the virtues of a peacemaker.

When you have done something wrong and your parents or teacher asks you about it, rather than thinking of a lie to tell, tell the truth and think of a way to correct your wrong, that is how to build the virtue of repentance.

If you are asked to do something that you don’t fell like doing, rather than think of a way to escape and do what you want, kill that thought and do what you are told, that is how to form the virtue of obedience.

Think on things that are of virtue. If you are always thinking of partying or having a boyfriend or girlfriend, sooner or later, you will find yourself doing that, and the end will not be good.

Always think of behaving and doing things right, you will soon become full of virtues. As you think, so you will become.

Key Point:

Don’t think or imagine yourself doing anything bad, always imagine yourself doing good things and behaving right.

Hymn 7

1. I am Thine 0 Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith
And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord
To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer blessed Lord,
To Thy precious, bleeding side.

2. Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
And my will be lost in Thine.

3. Oh, the pure delight of a single hour
That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God
I commune as friend with friend!

4. There are depths of love that I cannot know
Till I cross the narrow sea;
There are heights of joy that I may not reach
Till I rest in peace with Thee.

Police Threaten to Arrest Mom for ‘Transphobic’ Twitter Comments

Police Threaten to Arrest Mom for ‘Transphobic’ Twitter Comments

A British stay-at-home mom was threatened with arrest last year after she criticized another mother on Twitter about her stance on teenage sex-reassignment surgery.

The British mom, Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, gave details of the incident in a new podcast interview with National Review. Keen-Minshull is well-known in British media for being a social liberal who opposes much of the transgender agenda. She is the founder of the organization Standing for Women and a mother of four.

The controversy began when Keen-Minshull tweeted her thoughts about transgender activist Susie Green, who had taken her 16-year-old biological son to Thailand for a sex-reassignment surgery that is illegal at that age in the United Kingdom. Specifically, Keen-Minshull tweeted that Green had supported castration of her son.

That led Green to report Keen-Minshull to the police, who contacted Keen-Minshull.

Among the potential charges: malicious communication and transphobic hate speech.

Keen-Minshull said she was shocked when first contacted by a policeman from West Yorkshire.

“They texted me, and I just ignored it. … I assumed it was a scam,” she told National Review.

Police then called her on the phone. They wanted to interview her.

“And [the policeman] said, ‘Mrs. Keen-Minshull, if you don’t come to the interview, you’ll be wanted. … And I said,…
